FZ6 / Fazer / Throttle sensitivity
« on: 07 July 2020, 08:00:01 am »
The throttle on my 08 Fazer needs to be turned a lot more than my 02 Fazer to get the same power. Makes my 02 Fazer feel faster, anyway to change this so I don't have to turn it so much? Thanks.

FZS600 Fazer / Fazer 600 02 sprocket nut/thread
« on: 28 June 2020, 08:49:25 am »
Hi guys I've looked about and seen this issue seems to be quite common. I was on the way home on the motorway the other day and lost all drive, before that the home was making like a buzzing noise which I guess was that.

Now the garage has had a look at it and told me the thread is fucked. He has had to order a 17mm and 16mm tap/die, 17mm being from China as he said it's hard to find so I'll have to wait a month before I will know if it can be fixed. If the 17mm doesn't work he is gonna try and go down a size to the 16mm.

Other than that what are my options? Bike has done 36k and I'm surprised this has happened as it's not that many miles and I'd expect better from Yamaha. This also makes me not want to buy another Fazer incase it happens again, which is a shame because they are sick bikes.

If what he is trying doesn't work what should I do with the bike? Now I need to try and find a new used bike asap for work :(

FZS600 Fazer / Rear disc hot
« on: 30 October 2019, 07:48:41 am »
Just had a rear caliper (thou caliper) fitted to my 600. The rear disc is getting warm without even using the rear brake. Yesterday you could have probably cooked on it it was that hot after a bit of braking.

When the thou caliper was fitted there were no washers fitted like I've read some have done in other threads, could that be the issue? Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

FZS600 Fazer / Fazer rear caliper
« on: 26 October 2019, 01:53:47 pm »
Hi guys,

Just had a Fazer thou rear caliper fitted to my fzs600. The rear brake is very sensitive, only have to rest my foot on the pedal to get sharp braking, is that normal? Also the rear brake light doesn't activate until the brake lever is pressed quite hard, if I press it that hard though it will probably lock the rear. Is there anyway of fixing this? Just had this caliper fitted at a garage. Cheers.
