Indicator in mirrors
« on: 11 March 2015, 07:52:52 pm »
hello boys and girls

A mate of mine given me a set of universal mirrors with the amber led indicators.
Tried to wire them directly to the front indicators but none worked. having a googling around
i ve found out that i may need some sort of flashing adjuster for led indicators.

Now would a resistor do the same job? if so how do i find out what resistance value?
at the moment the wires for indicators are not connected.

Cheers
I don't have anything witty or funny to say. For an update check back in 2025

Hi phonesurgeon,
Are you just going to have the indicators on the mirrors or keeping the originals on as well?
Reasons for asking are....
1) restricted view from other road users, especially from the side that your turning into!
2) it's easier just to wire them into existing loom on either side otherwise you may need restrictors fitted.
3) personally I like more lights, better chance of someone seeing you!

I see a few months has passed since the OP. I'm going naked and as I'll need new indicators and mirrors I'm wondering whether to go for the combo. Have you got these working? Are you using them alone or with other front indicators?
