Suzuki SV1000 2003, never been messed with and only 2 owners from new, it's done 16753 miles and has full service history with receipts, last serviced 2k ago it had everything, fitted with pilot power tyres that are hardly worn, bike is immaculate with no marks. Fitted with seat pod - scott oiler under seat - fender extender - some chrome radiator covers - datatool alarm (2fobs) - clear indicator lenses - paddock stand bobbins. Come with full book pack - v5 - mot till June 16 - 2 keys - alarm fobs - pillion grab rail - pillion seat - tool kit. It belonged to my mate before and he fitted all the extras, it's a cracking bike and never been damaged, all original. £1750 buys it, PM me for my tel no. This is a BARGAIN they fetch more on ebay, however I cannot be bothered with evil bay at the mo and I'm accumulating more bikes then I have room and I need to make room for a new toy so 2 bikes have to go. I'm having a clear out, so a job lot of Fazer 1000 gen1 bit n bobs. Fazer Bottom yoke with steering stem for R1 fork conversion, genuine rear grab handles unmarked in the fast blue colour, clear Indi lenses, pair of dog bones will raise back up, original rad protector, 7 iridium spark plugs used but not done many miles, bar risers, bag of genuine various fasteners, 3 genuine new oil filters, brand new yam throttle tube, couple of new engine cover gaskets, foot rests and various other bits and anything else i find you can have. £50 collection welcome from Derby or post £15  All bits are either mint or new as stated there from my own bike, yours to could look like this.

Set of fazer 1000 gen 1 wheels I brought these new and than had them powder coated GOLD, all new bearings and seals supplied I also have a spare sprox carrier and new polished renthal sprox 46 teeth fitted to the carrier and titanium nuts and will include a new 44 renthal sprox in polished finished. Ayup whilst coming back from the alps I filled up at dover bike on side stand I filled the tank to the top of the neck, speed was 80-90 most of the way home, this being 223 miles to my door and I had a cup full of fuel left in the tank, I had previous set up the sender to the multi gauge as it was over reading and now it's 100% bang on.
Quite impressive.

I noted today as I had left my bike untouched and not plugged in for 2 wks when I came to start as I turned the ign on and the fuel primed things sounded slow, dab of the magic button confirmed and it clicked struggling to start.
So it's not had a battery since I've had it and looks original and always optimised so I'll treat it too a new battery.

Ayup, im thinking of selling up even tho ive said before its a keeper  now you can buy cheaper but not as mint or in this spec this bike is very special only difference since pics is the bike is wearing a £165 gold DID chain now and is totally immaculate. SO IS IT WORTH £3900 !!  GENUINE SALE, ill not go into to much detail here but following my return from germany yesterday via verdun in france a fellow rider that was in front of me that ive known for many a years had a very serious accident and is in a bad way and a broken back, its taken its toll on me, i dont want to go out the same way and therefore im having to think if i want to carry on road riding as i have my parents that depend on me following my father having a stroke 12 weeks ago and can no longer walk or move his left side and without my help im not sure what would become of my father, after all he brought me up wiping my sh1tty ar5e now im repaying the favour after all he's my Dad.  Im not too fuss'd if i dont sell but if i did i think id buy a classic and restore it ..

Not me ! but the story goes as follows all the traffic had come to a stop on a busy main rd as a bus was stopping, whilst waiting to pull out the van driver was looking elsewhere  and for a mo thought the traffic had started to move so put his foot down the outcome..   Would you believe he stayed on, got off & 'just' bruised-nothing banged out of alignment. How lucky.

Ayup chaps, im looking for a some feedback and info as to your set up on the above ! Now ive seen this on pats page and have the various pipes to do the job. 6mm pipe: as per pat's but note the pipe is huge of the spigots 5mm pipe: this fits better Do i do the 4 link-up method or 1-4 / 2-3 method so my Q what would be the best method or the best tried method by yourself. FOR SALE. All items are for a FAZER 1000 (gen 1) 2 gen1 rocker covers never used there aint much paint on these covers in stock form, so ive had 2 new covers powder coated silver so there more hard wearing and will not corrode they cost a fortune from a stealer(£140 each +powder coat) my price £60 each +pp   NRC Gen 1 engine covers fit all years and will fit R1 as well these 2 covers cost £240 and dont come powder coated either, there as New and powder coated £140 +pp (pic looks like they are a different colour i think this was because of the flash on the cam! they are perfect)  Fitted only for pictures  Exhaust hanger for GEN 1 these are a rare find as there not made any more cost £95 this one is brand new never used £50 +pp  I will take paypal (sent as gift) or chq / cash on collection from Derby Thx Dave

Ayup fella's ive had a week ill not forget ! so here goes tueday 14th i was heading north on the m1 to do a job i leave the m1 at junc29 taking the slip rd and going right on the island keeping in the right hand lane taking the 5th exit down the 617 to mansfield as i indicate to leave the island a car rams straight into the passenger side at speed pushing me into the high kerb and than off rd i take 4 lamp post signs out before the van comes to a stop. Anyway turns out the stupid WOMAN driver was in the wrong lane and she wanted to get back on the motorway fookin brill !! here's whats left of a immaculate and i mean it twas really immaculate astra van   Front leg is badly damaged A-arm is bent, Drive shaft snapped and lots of bent bits wheel had to be removed as it folded and the inner wing has some big creases and pushed back.   Now lets see what the other side is like!  The 1st contact point.  Rear axle is bent.   Square wheels 1&2 and split!!   Wheel 3 badly split.  It all happened very fast and the only thing that i can remember thinking before the van came to a stop, is this is going to hurt as i took the huge signs out the police are prosecuting the woman and she and her insurance have accepted full liability the recovery brought the van home because i had tools i needed to get out however some have been damaged and my satnav and phone kit is fooked as well.. Ayup chaps, ive about finished my little project till the new year ! its minta than mint, did i tell ya all i have a OCD and taking into account its condition and what id have to pay to get something in this spec, its alot of bike for not alot of money. new Seat an all the carbon now fitted.  I brought some oberone heavy stainless bar ends and had em powder coated black no more vibs,i removed the stock fairing decals but it looked to plain so the decals you see, the fazer is from the fz8 and the red 1000-exup decals from ebay.  I cant make my mind up if i like the NRC engine covers! and the colour is a very slight shade different than the rocker so they may go back on ebay! or ill get the spare rocker i have colour matched, oh yeah i have some billet covers also coming from the states, i also had the front engine/frame brace powder coated black and all the little brackets that cant be seen in the pics.  Timing cover needs re-powdercoating as i did not clean the bolt holes enough  and so when i put the bolts in i got a hairline crack in the powder so only fitted for pics, and i removed the genuine yam crash bungs and replaced with the moto ones and whilst i had everything in bits i polished all the stainless bolts.  Carbon rad covers now fitted.  Im going to replace the chain to a nice coloured one.  Yep its even got heated grips! Daytona ones these feel like sportsbike grips nice soft feel to em and yeah i do plan to use it for my trips into europe.  LSL rear sets and HM quickshifter.  So id like to wish all you foccer's a merry xmas ... Dave

Ayup, i noticed the other day when i started the bike up it ran erratic ie miss firing it had done this previously but seemed to clear it self once warm, so put it down to the fact im not using the bike and the fact its been in pieces, however this time it did not clear so i thought id remove plugs and 1 2 3 fine no 4 turned and turned without any resistance ie only finger tight and when i pulled the plug socket out this came out .  The plug leaving the thread in the head oh shit this is going to be expensive was my 1st thought, however i was thinking as there is no plug to tighten up, the thread should be easy to unwind unless its been cross-threaded! so i found a torx bit the same inner diameter as the plug thread left in the head and being a torx bit the edges on the bit was nice and sharp, so with torx on extension and the lightest tap with the hammer i felt it sit into the thread part and set about unwinding it out, it also came out with the little washer so i was well chuffed to say the least, i changed all the plugs with new iredium ones just to be 100% and its fine now however cant think why the plug snapped unless they was tightened to much by previous owner as i did not fit em and have never touched em Dave

Oh i probably opened a can of worms with this question, however i noted some foccers buy car spec oil, and whilst ive been tinkering with cases and now need to fill the engine up with oil, i have afew options. bike spec comp4 10-40 semi syn £39 bike spec comp4 10-40 fully syn £47 car spec mobil one 10-40 semi syn £29 car spec mobil one 0-40 fully syn £26 (special offer in halfaurds) Now in the past ive always put comp4 semi syn however if i can buy the same product but cheaper than im game so who puts what in the engine and would you recomm fully syn!! bikes done 12k THX Dave

carbon rad covers from Germany ordered tuesday arrived friday perfect fit and all the original bushes fit and the holes align 100% Whilst i was at it i won some R1 NRC engine covers off evilbay the casings are rough finished and unpainted as stock so i got to work sanding the casings for a smooth finish than took a box of bits to have powder coated.  I brought a sargent seat last week however when it arrived and i fitted the seat the rear pillion seat is slightly wider and touched the rentec grab rail and in time i felt it would rub thro and tbh i felt it did not follow the lines of the rear cowling so i sent it back for a refund, and than sent my original seat to Coventry custom seats for a remake and a gelastic pad and the outcome i saved £££ and im very happy with melvyn's work yet again and turn around was 3 days  Dave

Ayup chaps, yeah i ran out of petrol lucky for me it was as i was pushing it out my shed for its weekly clean even tho its not moved a wheel  . Nah than the multi gauge stated i had 2-litres left! when it took its last breath and died, so i set about seeing what the prob was and removed tank and sender it seemed the contacts on the sender was not sitting at its lowest point due to the plastic shroud it must have never been right so i fixed that and sender gauge now reads 0 for empty, now when i fitted everything back and filled tank i noted i had to put 2.5 litres in before it even started to read on the gauge, so i took sender out and bent sender to take into account the reading, when i installed the tank again i put a 1-litre in and nothing and so put 250ml in and the gauge registered this, i than ran bike up until gauge read 0 took tank off and drained fuel to see how much left in 1-litre was what came out, i also noted the sender is within mm from touching the tank base. So my question does the tank hold fuel due to the shape that does not register on the fuel gauge. Dave

Ayup chaps, now since i changed my fairing inner pans to carbon ive noticed ive got very light tingling vibs in the bars not sure if it was already this as ive only rode the bike twice since changing the bars to renthal, and at the time oberone had no large stainless weights so ive got the large ali ones and the carbon pans seem to vibrate this did not happen with the stock plastic ones however i had lined the backs of em as well, so my 1st call is going to be line the backs of the carbon pans to eliminate the rattle/vib, now when it comes to bars, ive done a tinternet search and peeps seem to fill the bars up with silicon or expanding foam any one tried this!! right for the GEN1 i have a genuine yam Hugger in the fastest colour  that will be R1 Blue than in very very good unmarked condition, pair of genuine mirrors 1 with slight mark on casing other in excellent con it may have a small stone chip! thats all!! i brought 2 new-uns im fooking strange like that , and there's one pair of genuine silver plastic rad trim covers. There FREE on the condition they go to someone that needs em and there not going to take the pi55 and put em on evilbay, also its collection only from DERBY, as i cant be bothered to box/wrap and visit the post offy alternative they go in the plastic recycle bin. Dave.
