FZS600 Fazer / Fuel gauge gone wierd
« on: 01 July 2019, 09:34:11 am »
I took the bike out for a ride yesterday after a long break. I noticed on the way back the fuel gauge shot up to to over FULL and the orange fuel light cam on  :eek . This seemed worse on the fast roads and dropped to normal-ish when I was in the 30's.

I would have said the fuel gauge was stuck but the orange light worries me. I have done nearly 100 miles off the full tank so should be around a quarter to a half full.

I should add that the bike seems to be revving okay...

Any ideas? And how easy is it to sort?

I use Giff Gaff on an old Nokia E5. My wife and friends are on it so free calls & text to them. Also if someone calls me I get credit, got 18minutes because someone called me with a computer problem. I use the cheapest £5 on auto, might switch to £7.50.

Yes runs over O2. Not had problems so far. Also you don't have to unlock an O2 phone to use GiffGaff.

Recommend it.

FZS600 Fazer / Thought is was clutch but appeared to be electrics!
« on: 29 August 2012, 07:41:16 pm »
On the 6th July I travelled from Norwich to Derby for a bike rally. Dispite going through soem floods and being diverted due to closed roads the bike coped.

Until I got to Nottingham and started a slow uphill crawl then the bike started to 'judder'. At first I thought it was the clutch getting hot and sticky but now I believe it was water getting into the sparks.

The odd thing is shortly have pushing the bike to somewhere safe off the main road and a mate riding it up a lane and back it was fine. I had no problems with the journey or since.

I can only assume that water on the top of the engine and the slow up hill shorted out a couple of cylinders. Eeven though it wasn't raining then!

Anyone else experienced this?

The other possibility is that one of your mates has need hacked/infected and your details where taken from them.

Thanks for the header. If this is the full header (which it looks like) then:

Basically the email was send from a Russian probably a Internet cafe at 19:48:41 CET (Central Europian Time) on Sunday 8th.

It was then passed Germany at 19:48:45 +0100

Before arriving.

I belive that is correct. How they got hold of your fiends details I don't now.

Oops formating went a bit weird.
P.s. If you are worried that someone is using your account then try putting in an address book entry to another email address. Also see if there are any logs to when someone last logged in.
Personally I feel someone has got you address from a website and is pretending to be you.
Let me know if you need anymore help.

The emails may not actually be coming from your mail host. The problem is it is very very easy to 'spoof' a senders address even if they are in another country.
What you need to do is look at the 'full' header. In there will be every point that the email has passed through. Which means you can back track it to the original senders host. You cannot normally see this by forwarding or replaying but there should be an option to view full header.
The most likely thing is someone has picked up your address from somewhere and is 'spoofing' your email address. And no, there is not alot you can do though if you can track it back to the orginal host you might be able to inform them and they 'may' look into it.
Yes to double check run Mailwarebyte (free version) http://www.malwarebytes.org/
It you can cut&paste the full header into a message to me I can check it for you.  :)
