Hey Dazza, what say we try again this year?  :-)
Hey Mr Hornby and gang !
Yes, good idea !
I've been pretty busy with work and consumed with the woodland thing and my biking  passion has taken a back seat.
Sold the MT10 to help finance another plot but still have the Fazer.
I'm down the the woods pretty much every weekend and been working 6 nights a week but would be great if we could revive this plan.
Let me know of any interest and dates that suit all and we'll try and plan a meet.

Where are we at with this? Is it possible to get some sort of certificate or evidence so that my trusty Fazer thou ('03) can be ULEZ exempt?

Short answer...Yes.

Got my thou out today after taxing it and an MOT earlier this week.
Only done 120 miles since the last one so thought I'd get it out and stretch it's legs.
Racked up around 100 miles round my local twisties and ended up in the woods for a cup of tea, pizza and a cheeky snooze in the hammock . :z

On the way home along the A228 I'm sure a passing biker on red bike  gave me the Foccer salute, I was a bit slow on the uptake as I was overtaking.

This is now postponed until the weather improves and work commitments for some don't clash with the dates.
Keep checking in LOFO's for updates and if you haven't already confirmed you're coming, this gives you more chance to make arrangements.

Great stuff Robbo. We've got a couple of stoves, saucepans and a large frying pan/ Wok and can bring a gas barbecue over too. I'm thinking of making a curry but get whatever you fancy we'll find a way to cook it.
There's also a cracking Chinese Takaway 15minutes away if you feel like roughing it  :lol
Yes, let Mr Krazy know, I'm dying to see his new tent !  :evil

No worries mate, hear from you soon  :thumbup

Well, I'm all primed and ready for this now Foccers !
Bikes have been brought out of hibernation and prepped, have completed on the venue and the weather is looking good so let's get this organised.  8)

I'm thinking weekend after next as next weekend is Father's Day. So that's the 26-27th June. How does that sit with everybody ?

I'll already be at the woods from the Friday so best meeting point will be Saturday morning at the Tesco on the junction of the A21 & A228 at Tunbridge Wells.
I'll meet you there In my truck, you can get your supplies of food and beer there and throw them in the back of it then follow me to the venue where you can select a spot, set up camp and if you want, go for a little spin around the local twisties.

On return we can get some scran on, crack open some cans/ bottles of beverage around the campfire then crawl off to our bunks when our vision becomes impaired  :b

On the Sunday, I'm thinking a blast down to Loomies along the A272 which is only down the road.

Let me know your thoughts Foccers, we can change the date if needed and if anyone has any ideas for either day, let us know ?
Look forward to seeing all you reprobates soon !

Well, what with restrictions starting to be lifted and summer just round the corner, I thought I'd bump this thread up with some visual teasers of the woodland venue.
My bikes haven't turned a wheel this year what with Covid and other commitments so looking forward to blowing off the two wheel cobwebs.....Bring it on !  8)

But on a serious note if Covid is still a concern, I have the capability to take temperatures on arrival.( If you'd like it done rectally, my brother would love to accomodate you  :evil )

Anyone who records a temperature of 37.8 or higher will not be allowed to stay and will be directed to the nearest Covid test centre for their own safety and peace of mind as well as ours.
Hand sanitizer will be available on site as well as sanitising wipes.

Masks will be worn when social distancing isn't possible but ultimately we're all responsible adults so are expected to act responsibly according to the Covid threat.
This is a large woodland venue and solo camping or individual hammocks are advised.
If anyone is suffering from symptoms or is concerned about their safety due to age or underlying health reasons then they should take the decision not to attend or leave the group if they don't feel secure at any time.
Obviously, this is subject to any restrictions at the time which may or may not allow this to happen.

@Dazza, I don't live that far from you up in Hertfordshire so this sounds like a nice idea. When are you looking at doing this? and how will Covid rules be handled..?
This isn't going to happen until spring/summer so hopefully Covid restrictions would have been relaxed by then.
At the moment we're in tier 4 so until that changes it isn't going to happen (unless you all bring a saw and say you're  forestry workers) :lol

I have a regular weekly delivery slot from Asda on Tuesdays mornings.

Today I get an e-mail from them saying that they don't apply over Xmas and the New Year, so I spent ages trying to get into their delivery booking system to put in an order and check it out just to make sure we'd have food over the holiday period!
Outrageous, isn't it  :rolleyes  You might actually have to go food shopping. What's the world coming to ?  :lol

That's sweet mate, you know it's going to be a hard choice deciding which one to take. Pics of the scrambler please when it happens  :)
Let's get the old gang together and have a blow out.
Now where's Red, Kitcrazy, Harry Hornby and Midden ?

:thumbup  Good one Robbo.  I'll see if the usual suspects get on board later. I know a few of them no longer have Fazers so I might give them a text.

Events, Meets, Ride outs etc / LOFO ride and woodland camp over 2021
« on: 23 October 2020, 09:33:01 pm »
Hello LOFO's.... What with this year being a bit of a wash out with Covid and all the restrictions that come with it, I'm going to put it out there for a meet, ride out and camp over for next year in the spring or summer.

I'm in the process of purchasing a private woodland and it's pretty central to all my favourite roads in the south east and just before the start of the 272 to Loomies from Tunbridge Wells.

Anyway, I'm thinking we could meet up, set up camp and acquire supplies of beer, cider and food then head out for a ride round the Kent and Sussex twisties or head west to Loomies, whatever we decide.

In the evening we could head back to the woods, drink and eat and generally talk bollocks round the campfire in a truly magical and private woodland setting.

Let me know if you're up for it and we'll keep this thread going and fine tune arrangements.

As usual, being a LOFO ride, nothing is set in stone so if necessary, we'll  just wing it.

I think we could all do with a weekend blow out after all this year has thrown at us and this has got to be a good way of leaving it all behind.

What do you say Foccers ? Who's up for it ?

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Spot light mounting position

Wouldn't fancy riding around your way at night dazza :eek :lol
:lol  All those little lanes take on a whole new appearance at night mate. Must meet up soon.
Haven't got round to fitting them to the Fazer yet but have the MT10.
I've angled them so they light up round the corne when I'm cranked over.
Ended up buying 4 X 400W spot and flood lamps and they seem to do the job nicely.
