Ha ha, it's not the cost, it's the point of it sitting there and of no use to me, I'll end up changing it come the time I'm sorted with my carpal tunnel syndrome so just selling it rather than it sitting there

Cheers Bob, hopefully be back within a year but no point holding onto the bike or stuff for it, as I was looking to change maybe next season so this has just brought it forward a wee tad :-)

Cheers mate, bit of a long story but basically need an operation for carpal tunnel syndrome and won't know how long it'll be till they can do it so np point holding onto the bike as it'll be approximately 5 or 6 months for recovery on top of that, maybe more because of the job I do :-(

Well, it's been a long thoughtful process but I'm now ready to sell my bike :-(
I'll be putting it back to standard and I'm open to reasonable offers around the £900 for fellow foccers. :-)

1998 on 'R' plate
33,000 miles
MOT'd till March 17 with ONLY advisory on last one being the exhaust (aftermarket)
Good condition for age, couple of scratches etc but nothing major.
V5 in my name.
Handbook.
Service book (although not stamped for last couple of years as I've done the servicing myself with regular oil and filter changes)
2 keys.
Will come with.....
Newish front & rear sprockets & DID Gold chain (about 3k usage).
Valve shims recently been done.(Receipt to prove)
New spark plugs and caps.
Oxford heated grips.
K&N air filter. (About 7k of use)
Rear rack.
Michelin PR 3's, plenty on front, rear could do with replacing but price reflects this.
Standard screen.
Haynes manual (If I can find it!)
I do have loads of extras for the bike as you can see in the pics, to sell as extras.....Including......
Comfort seat.
MTC exhaust.
Stainless downpipes.
R6 rear shock.
Hyperpro front springs.
Fazer 1000 rear blue spot caliper.
Radiator cover.
Couple of screens.
Aftermarket brake & clutch levers.(2 sets)
All these can be bought with the bike as additional extras and price.
As you can see in the pics, it has most of this stuff still on it, but the bike is being SOLD AS STANDARD.
Welcome to come and view in Glasgow, but no test rides will be allowed unless you can give me the asking price in my hand beforehand.
Could do a great deal for all the extras if you want it all as a job lot :-)

Sorry I fekked up a wee bit earlier but principles are the same(ish)
Black pipe at top goes to carburettor
White/clear pipe is as is (goes nowhere)
Bottom of unit there should be the pipe that goes to the chain and either have the twin splitter for both sides of chain or a single piece.
But I'd remove the scottoiler if there's any oil in it at all, remove the risk of more oil going on tyre/wheel.
All the other stuff I said earlier is correct though.
Personally if it's not connected to the carb, but there's a rubber bung missing at the carb, try and seal it with something (use the method I quoted earlier, tube, melt, pliers) and then see how engine is.

Hi,
1st pic is where the problem is initially!
The two pipes coming out are correct, but the white pipe is disconnected from the pipe that goes to your chain, the small black pipe at the top should go to one off the carburettors, it connects to the wee small rubber cap that sits to the rear of a carburettor.
If you search on here, "fitting a scottoiler" that'll show you in more detail.
Couple of tips here to check....
I've just visited the scottoiler place this week and found out my unit is goosed.....guy connected oil to the white pipe to squeeze oil into the system, but unfortunately there's an air leak at the top where the yellow line is so it's of no use and you can't repair it. New unit needed!
If the system is goosed and you don't have the original carburettor cap.....take the black plastic pipe out the top of the unit, heat up the end and then flatten it with a pair of pliers, this stops the unit uding the vacuum and should then make your bike run a bit better as utility won't be drawing air from the scottoiler.

Yes I've saw that many times and always thought it was too much, I'm happy with my HID's now :-) and easy enough to convert back to standard if needed or puting in a bulb if something goes wrong, can that be done once you put in projector lights????

I recently purchased these clocks with wiring loom, with the intention of swapping them into my '98 fazer but unfortunately that's not going to work.
So someone might need a set or have a 1999 - 2002 set that wants to swap??
18000+ miles, will get accurate figure ASAP but no more than 19000
Clean, undamaged and all lights working, came from a working bike that was being stripped.
I paid £50 delivered for clocks and loom but open to offers as I just want to get rid and try and get a set that fits mine.

Find the pin out diagram for both models and see if the wiring is compatible.
You could temporarily connect them with scotch blocks before cutting any wires.
Looked at those diagrams  But it now looks like I've got a set of clocks that won't fit on the hunt now for upto a 2002 set as these apparently fit (the ones with the clock added to the speedo and not the rev counter) although I still need the wiring loom as well as its got a couple of extra wires for the clock but it's just plug and play (here's foccin hoping anyhow)

to be honest i hadnt actually noticed the fog light part, i was utterlly intrigued that theres projector h4 bulbs out there, might be an easyer headlight upgrade was my thoughts, as Darrsi pointed out to me tho is that i would still need to make a 2nd h4 slot as currently only 1 headlight is h4
You'd only need to do that with the first option (I think) as these look like they use original H4 holes but the second option looks like you'd need to get rid of the reflectors (as the H4 bulbs are contained in the housing) and bore out a couple of holes in the black plastic on the headlight cover to get them to fit, watch out for the length of them as well as they could hit the lens.

Can I ask a question that may sound dumb?
In the piccy's you're showing a HALO 'fog light projector' isn't a fog light designed throw a short spread beam as opposed a long beam like a spot or a headlight?
Just a thought..
Think it's halo as in Angel eyes with a projector lens in the middle, well that's what I thought when I looked at these.

Im looking for a 12v one really, something that can top up a slow puncture when needed. I have seen the CO2 canisters, but they are one use only.
I need to get some idea of which ones are small enough to fit, as I don't want to waste money on one that's too big.
co2 cannisters may be one use only but they get you out a pickle with the likes of a slow puncture or an under inflated tyre and take up less room than a mini compressor, but if you feel you need a compressor, just Google "12v tyre inflators" and take it from there?

Just saw an advert for Michelin tyre repair and inflator, may well look into this but guessing it'll be 5 times the price of tyre weld and the likes.
Back to post, I find carrying some co2 canisters the best if your stuck in the middle of nowhere (lots of that up here in Scotland) and simply need to blow your tyre up a few pounds then you can get to nearest garage to check/inflate more to desired pressure.

that sounds like its your helmet my last one did the same new helmets ok never had a problem with the screen the deflector stops a the wind impact on ur chest and helps with rain and stones ext.
Shouldn't be the same with 2 different types of helmets but it is so I would say it's my height then but as I can't change that I'll need to change the screen

My screen is same as snake's, but I get lots of noise, that could be my height (5ft5in) or my helmets (aria full face & schuberg flip front) but I don't think it's the helmets. I'm going back to standard to try it again to see if it makes any difference before I decide to keep or get rid as no matter what height I put the deflector I get the same noise. Only time it reduces is when I'm tucked into the screen but that's not best way to ride the bike.

Where do you stay? Maybe someone near you has a spare seat that they can lend you while you get yours repaired or can even put on one of these covers from fleebay for you.
