The Akrapovic sticker has been removed as you can see to make it look more O.E.M
it has a lovely sound not too loud  just right.
if your looking at this you know how rare these are.

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Doing a bit of that 'Ivanising' in April
« on: 17 March 2016, 03:35:50 pm »
Hi mike
I have to put a post on her
you did my bike 2 years ago and its still as sweet as it was when i pulled away from your
friends garage in the midlands.

I only had the slip on stage one and everybody on the day had the full monty.
for what i ride the bike it has suited me down to the ground.

The exup valve is still working as when you set it and the carbs are still balanced
i have only done 3k in 2 years on the bike.

i did find an arkrapovic exhaust with a removable baffler like new,it took me a year and a half.

Anybody on her in two minds in getting the mod done, just get it done as it will transform the bike completely
power is smoother mpg is 42-46 if you don't go nuts on your right wrist.
it should have been as yamaha should have made it from the factory.

mikes party trick is having your carbs in his hands in under 20 mins
that you have taken me most of the day.

again many thanks

For Sale & Wanted / Re: Fazer 1000 gen 1 gel seat wanted
« on: 08 March 2016, 06:33:42 pm »
that looks a really great seat, is it a gel or just extra foam.
did he give a difference in the piping as i would rather a grey as my bike is grey and black.

I have had a price off him and i have already seen some of his work on some trikes.
as my bike is now 16 years old and the seat does feel hard on long journeys  i think
i am going to get a new seat and tyres and a new R6 rear shock.

did you post it to him or drop it off.

The standard can has a 60mm dia link pipe and most after market exhaust have a 50mm
I think that this has a lot to do with it.
I had a exhaust recently but i sold it because of the robbing the lower end Torque
I have recently had the Ivanising done by mike and this has completely transformed the bike
so i would be looking for a Akrapovich can before long to see if this has resolved the lower end lose of Torque.
Or if you have exhaust PM me for details

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Who's getting ivanised this weekend
« on: 16 June 2013, 07:44:15 pm »
Hi all i had my bike done on Saturday. just the slip on with std can BUT OMG
and WAW what a difference it makes :eek .
rode up the midlands 134 mile's and ride home was 160 miles in the rain!
so i had a really good ride, bike is smoother, bike starts much easier, pick up is there from near idle speed. fuel consumption is really great 160 miles on just over 3/4 of a tank of fuel so work that one out :b  but i did not really push it 70- 80mph because of the weather.
If there is anybody thinking of this mod it is a must, and i would not hesitate in doing it BUT get it done professionally.
mike is a really great guy and very professional , his knowledge of the fazer is outstanding and he is a genius in his own right. I would like to thank the host Nic of the venue and the 3 other lads who i met a really nice bunch of lads.
Rich can you PM me for more details on your shock please.
again thank you mike for working on my bike.
