Yep, one of the previous owners has removed it for some strange reason, and they dynojetted it! I nearly didn’t buy it because of it missing. Gotta admit though, 3/4 of the bottom end grunt is still there surprisingly enough, then goes like a stabbed rat over 7k! Gonna try and source some parts to put it back on methinks. Anyone got some exup bits knocking around? 🤔

I’ve just done Blackpool to John ogroats last week, 1100 miles in 4 days. I was on my tdm900 though, but it’s still a Yamaha, does that count? 😜

Awesome! Thanks for the tips guys, thankfully I'm going with a mate who's part of mototours that goes there all the time, so plenty of experienced guys to lean on. The place looks and sounds fantastic, and I'm more aiming towards taking the fazer now and chopping in the tiger!!!

I've just balanced my carbs and reset my TPS after the same symptoms as you've said you had sc0ttie. Mine sounded like a Subaru Impreza at low revs, very annoying!
I changed the plugs, caps, and balanced the carbs. Made no difference. Mine turned out to be the TPS which was miles out! Took her for a short blast after doing all that, and the stuttering has now gone.
Never had to adjust a TPS before in the 4 fazers and 100k+ miles I've done on them!!!
Every days a school day!!

I'm with Robbo on this one. Used muffs for the last 15 years, it's the best way of keeping your hands warm with heated grips and summer gloves. It's a combo that ive found that works!

Sounds similar to what I had with mine. It almost feels like a 'step' in the power delivery.
If thats what it feels like, then it's possibly slight clutch slip. Does it happen at about 7k? And does it only happen within the first 5 or so miles?
