I fitted a DB screen (not that one) but didn't notice any difference - I am 5'8"
-
I fitted one just like that and it was worse than standard so went back to original - I'm 6'3"

Yes that is why I added my height because depending on your height the DB just moves the turbulent air from your upper chest to your head, due to the fairing - we are talking boxeye I dont think anything but a giant flip up screen will do any good.
I couldnt be bothered to take it off because at least it was no worse for me, some say they look better and that is about it, foxeye and fzs1000 riders I think report better results

I agree, fitted a DB and the buffeting and noise is awful so am looking for a taller one; think I'll try the Skidmarx one....
-
I'm 5 10 so probably not worth it then, I looked at the skidmarx one but there's no picture so don't know what it will look like

I've got a DB from F.Fabbri, I can honestly say it's the muts nuts, less noise than the original. Changing the bars to ultra low riders helps as well, it puts you in a slightly sportier position- your head is a bit lower. I'm a short arse at 5'6'' so screen size probably doesn't make much difference to me anyway. I'm guessing that wind blast/resistance has always been a bit of an issue on fazers for tall chaps unfortunately.

Hmmmm interesting I have just had a look and the design is a narrow bubble compared to mine which is wider and taller, I wonder it the better result is your screen or the fact that you are lower down- not to do with your height but your lower bars because I i duck the wind blast is gone --- but I look a twat---------- twatier than normal

I got a dark DB from M&P about 4 years ago and it makes a big difference for me at 5ft 11ins.
The reason i got it was that when touring with a tank bag and the standard screen there is some really weird buffet and a lot of wind noise. Changing to the DB screen completely removed this when using the tank bag, and to be honest I think is better all round.
I still have the standard screen but generally just stick with the DB.

Nice, think I'll give one a go seeing as your 1 inch taller than me a DB should be good for me,
Cheers guys

When you get it do a run with your old one and then fit the new one and do that same run straight away, then be sure to come back to these posts and give us your verdict.

I have that screen in single tone smokey colour. For me it made all the difference I needed. Doing anything up to about 75/80mph I don't really feel much difference, but past that and I hunker right down so I'm looking through the bubble and any noise and buffeting disappears. I'm 5'10, about 80kgs. I've done some very long rides on it and whether I'm jusdt used to it or whatever it didn't seem to add any extra buffeting or noise at 70mph cruising speeds.

That is what I was saying - yes it works (obviously ) if you lay down on the tank an look through it from brhind but that is not a natural riding position for our bikes, what we need is a screen design that actually works at our normal riding position.

I can never sleep sitting up like that

Recently fitted a DB screen to my boxeye. Im about 5'10-11'ish and heres what Ive found so far compared to the standard screen:
- below 60, no difference whatsoever
- around 70ish theres a bit more wind noise/buffeting than usual if youre riding into the wind.
- above 80-85'ish and riding into the wind, unbearable wind noise and my helmet is being pushed back so far my nose is being squashed against my visor :eek
So for legal motorway speeds, its fine. But for real motorway speeds, I find myself trying to tuck underneath the wind to make it bearable, but thats not great on your back for long trips either. I'd probably switch back to the normal screen, or look at getting a bigger/flip up deflector... but I like the look of the DB too much :rollin
