General / Boiler on the blink, help needed :)
« on: 29 January 2016, 01:33:50 pm »
I have a vokera linea 24 but it's been losing pressure on a daily basis. Top it up at night to the 1.5 bar recommended pressure but by the morning it's at zero :(

I have checked boiler forums and the like and they go on about the prv and a vessel but they're not very clear on how to check these (or maybe I'm reading them wrong)
I can't really afford to call out a plumber at the moment but as I read into this it doesn't seem that hard to do.

Are there any guys on here that can give me any idea what to do in layman's terms to resolve my issues.

Thanks in advance,
Colin

As I've never had one of these, can anyone give me some pointers before I waste money.

My son, who's 13 and about 5'5" and is constantly dropping the hint to get one for him.

Been to local shop but no way am I getting brand new but it was mainly for looking.

Been told a 50cc would be good enough, but also been told to go for a 125cc

So yes, I'm a bit confused already :b

Cheers in advance.

General / Chain and sprocket.
« on: 07 November 2015, 08:09:26 pm »
Yes I know it's been covered before but bare with me please......

So I've known I need to get a new chain and sprocket set, but in searching on here and fleebay all I can find is open ended chains where I'd need to rivet to get it closed.

So really, I'm looking for a complete ring where I don't need to close it.

Has anyone ever fitted this sort,  where did you get it from? How's it been etc etc?

Thanks in advance folks :)

General / Cycle to work scheme.
« on: 10 October 2015, 12:04:06 pm »
Has anyone done this?

I signed up through my work for upto £1000 as didn't know what bike I'd end up going for.

Ordered my bike via Evans cycles at £680.
All was good and I went to pick it up....they say "sorry, but your bike's been sold by another member of staff"

So, a bit annoyed, but I pick another bike and they need to order from warehouse so another week or so goes by and I get a call to go and collect.

In the meantime I've had two wageslips showing money for scheme already being taken off!

I call Evans and ask them to hold on till I get hold of someone in my HR department to explain why this has happened. Eventually I get to talk to someone as they'd recently changed our HR department to the Far East for some reason (costs no doubt).

So...I've discovered that when I got the certificate/voucher authorised by my work they start taking payments right away! I thought it was when you actually got the final bill from the shop, that's when it would start.

Now I have a few options I think.....

1. Cancel everything and try and get my money back from the work/scheme administration.

2. Carry on with the purchase and buy more stuff upto the value of £1000 and be stuck with it!

3. As 2 above but get bits for family members or friends or even sell on fleebay etc (or even on here :lol watch the for sake section soon :b)

Anybody had this experience or any advice?

Cheers

FZS600 Fazer / Any good fibreglass people on here?
« on: 04 October 2015, 10:17:59 pm »
I've damaged my bellypan and require it fixed.

Willing to send it to someone or would I be better trying to do it myself? If doing it myself, has anyone any tips?

Also wondering if a fazer 1000 bellypan would fit a fazer 600 (98)
Cheers

For Sale & Wanted / BUHEL D01.1-INTERCOM for sale
« on: 05 September 2015, 08:13:18 pm »
My mate has asked me to sell this for him as he's a bit on the non computer side :(

It's only about a year old, not been used much, one of the units is brand new!
This is the rider to pillion set up and amplifies the sound round the helmet using the shell as the amplifier,  great system if you don't like wires / speakers in your helmet. Heard this working when we were testing all was ok with it and it does sound awesome.
Ideal if you have more than one helmet as it's on the outside via a magnetic and twist lock thing that sticks to the side if your helmet, so you just unclip and reclip onto your other helmet. 4 holders supplied.
You can use your mp3 player, your phone and satnav as well as communicate with your passenger due to the bluetooth.

Any questions feel free to ask.

My mate paid £250 for this set of two units, he's open to reasonable offers, so just pm me if your interested and make me an offer.

Here's the stuff I found on the net about it...

Buhel D01 helmet communication system is a totally new concept in Bluetooth hands free helmet communications. Using a revolutionary vibration driver, patented, Buhel D01 induces the helmet shell itself to create a robust, clear, 3D-like audio inside the helmet. Buhel D01 allows you to phone, listen to music and get GPS information. Buhel D01 can be fitted directly to the outside of the helmet without any further assembly, as it has no wires and no earphones. Buhel D01 can be removed at any time just by pulling, so no risks when you leave your helmet locked to the motorcycle.

Can be used on all kinds of helmets
It has no wires and no earphones
Can be fully removed from the helmet
3D-like audio inside the helmet
Run time approximately 5 hours
Charge time approximately 3 hours
Noise cancelling microphones that virtually eliminate wind noise
Manage very easily several helmets with only one device
3.7V 400mA lithium polymer battery
Weight - 60g
Size - W103 x H50 x D35mm

For Sale & Wanted / Double Bubble Screen
« on: 04 September 2015, 06:38:06 pm »
As above to fit Fzs600-fazer '98 onwards.

Bought this but didn't like it personally, it's got a couple of wee scratches but nothing major, they never bothered me tbh. (will try and get close up pictures of them, but they are minor and difficult to picture)

It's not branded so can't tell you who made it, sorry.

£25 delivered is all I ask.

Also have R&G crash bungs for sale.

As above, the dogs bits ;)
Fzs600-fazer '98 onwards.
Great condition, never been used in earnest so no damage, apart from the scrape on the back of one of the blocks which you wouldn't see when on the bike.
I had them on my bike for two days, one of which it never went out the garage.
Selling them as I prefer to have my bellypan on which you can't have with these on :(
You can have them for £60 delivered.
Also got a double bubble screen for sale too.

Fzs600-fazer racks and 3 boxes.

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=111745515220&globalID=EBAY-GB&alt=web
He offered them to me but I'm not looking for them or I'd of snapped them up at this price.
He's not on the forum but says if you mention you got the link from me, he'll look after you.
I've seen them and they're in great nick, wee bit dusty but that's as they've been in his shed. And I think the sv motech racks are the business as you can unclip them off when your not using the side panniers.
Give Mark a shout and tell him I sent you.
