Huh? am I missing something?
-
Yeah :lol
-
I'm going to sleep,maybe it'll be clearer when I wake up! :)

Good question DUDE , obvious difference is the fairing and lights but I think the earlier bike has a better shaped tank.....
-
I ended up with a blue foxeye which I love, but really wanted a red black and silver boxeye. I think the boxeye fairing suits the bike better.
-
7 votes each at the moment, which surprises me. I thought the sleek, cartoon-ish race face of the Foxeye would have been the popular choice.
The Boxeye is my preference, it’s just more honest about what the bike is… and most things I like tend to look more right as time goes by. I even like the look of the Honda CG125. :rollin
-
In my case, the Foxeye was my real first bike after doing DAS for my licence and I guess you tend to gel with your first bike more deeply and then nothing else beats it for you.
That's what happened with me anyway.

Sort of like when a duck hatches and it imprints on the first thing it sees :lol .
The only reason they changed the fairing was because of the crap lights on the boxeye otherwise there would of only been slight cosmetic changes with the bike every couple of years.

Fair play, that does look really nice.
I do like the black - gives it a real stealth look.
....and room for a box of Milk Tray under the seat?? ;)
-
...have to say my old blue Foxeye still looks great with my silver thou though.

And a spare black polo neck sweater

I voted foxeye, I do like the look of the boxeye though, but it was a foxeye I had when I still had the 600 and I thought it looked a bit better.
-
In case you wondered what I was on about all I could see on your post was "which one looks better" and a smiley face, nothing else, maybe I'm doing something wrong or there's something missing on my device.

You're doing it wrong fella - look above the post and you'll see a vote. Tick the one you want

It's just a poll, which do you think looks better boxeye or foxeye? I think boxeye looks better. The bike has a bit of an 80's look to it and the square headlight and flatter tank is more in keeping with that than the angular headlight and tank on the foxeye.
-
It was the look of the boxeye that originally caught my attention and made me think what a great looking, in a slightly retro way, bike it is.
I wasn't aware that there was a foxeye update to the model until I saw and bought mine.
I think the different look suits both, but I voted foxeye cos that's what I've got :lol

Very nice

I would hazard a guess that the vote is consistent with what people own themselves rather than an unbiased view.

Not Everyone Darrsi. :D

I've changed my mind. I demand another vote ;) :lol

Actually, it's looking close, maybe we should run it again in a year or two. ;)
-
I have a boxeye but I have voted for the foxeye

Also the Fazer 1000 had been introduced in year 2000 with the sharper looking foxeye fairing and they transferred that look over to the 600.
-
Looks like the foxeye has won it by a nose. Or a nosecone :lol
-
It would be interesting to know what the UK sales figures were for the two models.
Wasn't the MK1 available for 4 full years, 1998-2001 and the MK2 2002-summer 2003?.
Unless there was a big surge in sales in the last 18 months there should be a lot more boxeye's about you'd think?.
-
For looks I can't choose, but when it gets dark the foxeye wins every time because it's nice to be able to see the road in front.

The foxeye style continued on with the 1000 so I'd say there's more foxeyes. They look damn good parked beside each other! 8)
-
Definitely, the Blue one :eek
-
It looks like a boxeye tank on that foxeye. Or is it a foxeye fairing on a boxeye? It's got unpainted forks too.
-
Looking at two in the same colour sid by side really helps and I still thinkthe foxeye looks better than my boxeye.
The first boxeyes had brushed alloy forks that were clear lacquered but stone chips would chip the lacquer and the alloy then gets white corrosion that spreds under the lacquer which being clear means that you can see it and it looks a mess. The later boxeyes shipped with painted forks - as the blue boxeye. So the foxeye with the shiny forks either is a box eye with a foxeye fairing or a foxeye that has had its painted forks stripped and polished and lacquered or been replaced with the first boxeye forks.
