Just to add my two-penneth, limax2's idea of moving the pegs forward might be the best solution.I have similar problems with my knees, and my gut instinct was to raise the seat height, but the actual point is to increase the angle your knee sits at.This can be done in a few ways, all with their downsides.You can raise the seat height, but this puts more weight on your arms as you lean forward more (which can be sorted by raising the bars) and puts you more into the wind (which can be sorted with a taller screen). It also makes it harder to put your feet on the road at a standstill. I went with this option (experimenting with different heights using carpet underlay and duct tape before splashing out on a custom seat!) as I'm quite tall anyway, but haven't got a bigger screen or higher bars, and my wrists ache after a while.You can move the pegs down, but as you already know, it produces clearance problems. This can be cured by raising the back end of the bike, but this will also make it harder to reach the road when stationary.Moving the pegs forward will open your knees out without affecting the geometry of the bike. You're still out of the wind, can still easily reach the ground, have no peg clearance problems and have minimum weight on your arms. The only downside I can think of is the expense of making the brackets and rods, but that's ok as you'll still have the original parts when you come to sell.
