ive just fitted a did zvm 530 with a yam front sprocket and a after market rear, got them from hunters m/c of newcastle.
it might help if before you split the chain you grind the head off a pin, this helps  extend the life of your splitting tool. good luck

Well expect i could get more mileage outta me chain of 14 thou' but with an over 50's lads trip to europe looming up ive decided its gotta go.
after trawling the net i found that did's ZVM530 came out top trumps with10,408 ft/lb and wear resistance of 4,000out classing RK's XSO 530 (9,200 FT/LB).
ON price i found Hunters motorcycles of newcastle good (£106 posted), they also do the did vx530 with talon rear at £96 posted.
I got a std front sprocket and a 43 tooth supersprox from webbs all waiting to be fitted, and i am already running a 43 yam one so i happy with it.
POSTMAN WHERE ARE YOU :lol

hello fazer rider, lots of different ideas in these replys but i dont know what mpg has gotta do with clipons...
me i hate sports bikes with the too low handle bars but flat bars hit the fazer screen on full lock or tank bag .
rassk fully adjustable jota bars were my answer cause you can put um back forward up or down, got mine from m+p £96.
ps you can also rotate the risers 15mm forward

i ve just done mine because i didnt know how long the old uns had been in.
new ngk iridiums gapped to 0.75 mm and carbs balanced.
i,d swear by these plugs and if you look on ebay you can find um cheap.

General / Re: what did you do with your fazer today ?
« on: 05 April 2013, 11:12:22 am »
yesterday i put a live wire from battery up to the clocks because with the ignition off
the fuel trips zero and time reset to 1am.
the second pin from left on clock connection is perm live but not on my fzs1000, a loose wire  somewhere?
today the tank and pannels go back on

« on: 04 November 2012, 10:58:01 pm »
ive always found that if you  fill up then ride what ever distance  takes your fancy.
fill up again  then divide litres used  by miles travelled timezed by .... wait  for it
 4. 5461 = mpg.
