Thought it about time we had a speedo thread  :rolleyes.....speedo on my project bike has gone crazy, as soon as the wheel moves the needle shoots upto 40mph.....ive checked the drive dogs and swapped the sensor and lead with a known good un...still no change....ive got a good spare speedo which I was going to try next.....unless you lot can come up wiith something else    ;)

What colour is the bike?  As red,  silver, blue,  black and grey one's think there faster than what they really are.

 :lol :lol :lol  think iam in trouble DAZZA.....its a tri colour  :\ .........got to put up a new fence today but should be able to swap clocks this evening  ;)

Seems to be a common problem with all Fazers - mine tells me it's doing 60, when in fact it's doing 91.... :\    :lol

Problem solved   :D.....swapped clocks with a known goodun and works ok...stripped the clocks and all I could find was some white powder on the circuit board..cleaned it up and hey presto , working now..... :D...thanks for all the helpfull comments, could'nt of done it without you...  :rollin :rollin :rollin......think its ready for MOT now   ;)

Foc......put the bike back together tonight and went for a test ride,5 mins down the road and the problems back  :o.....I'll post in for sale / wanted secetion for new clocks   :\
