FZ6 / Fazer / Battery tender - strange behaviour
« on: 03 February 2015, 09:27:38 pm »

Hello all,

I have my bike right outside my lounge window (no garage) so today i made an extension for my Oximiser 900. (so that the charger can stay inside but still be hooked up to the bike to keep the battery in good condition)

It worked perfectly to start with but after coming back to it an hour later i find it doing this:

you see that when i turn off the charger and turn it back on it behaves normally for a good long while. It seems to hold steady voltage at 12.6 but i haven't been able to catch the moment it starts 'flicking' between voltage states.

could it be because its too cold outside or has my extension messed it up?

General / larger ladies boots
« on: 10 July 2014, 10:05:55 pm »
Anyone got any recommendations for online shops that sell ladies bike boots in size 8/9 with a 1.5"+ heel?

Struggling to find any that the Mrs likes, been to all the local shops and although helpful they have not and can not get what she wants.

Cheers in anticipation

I have a used set of Frank Thomas Aqua Pore trousers and jacket and although i have yet to be caught in a proper torrrential down-pour they keep me perfectly dry in normal everyday UK rain

Another vote here for the smart phone and an ear-peice, let her speak softly in your ear while you ride around doing exactly as she says :)

although it is a bit concerning when she goes quiet for a while... how long do you risk going straight ahead before stopping to check its not died on you?!

Well so far the stand seems okay, i was only expecting it to lift the rear but it has different parts so you can use it on the front too. Will see how it holds out when under the weight of a bike

bought a pair of jeans too, far too long for me when not sat on a bike... hmm

lucky enough nothing, you have anything xyy
no snow but plenty of ice cold rain. The 15 mile A-road trip was quite painful in my summer gloves, bought some waterproof over-gloves for the trip home  :)

thanks, I like her as is but always prefered the naked look, plus my comute is short so dont really need the wind protection, we'll see.

will keep an eye for local meets, all my biker mates are summer riders so their rides are still tucked up at the moment :rolleyes

Introduction / Hello from North Oxon
« on: 20 February 2014, 08:48:24 pm »

Hello all,

I'm a new biker and member from North Oxfordshire, UK.

I've had my FZ6 for 2 weeks, its my first bike after passing my test in January. I use it everyday for comuting and today have been able to go for a proper blast as the weather has improved. I have experience of this and one other bike (the 2012 XJ6 i learnt on) and so far i am loving the FZ6.

toying with the idea of going naked but for the moment, i'm enjoying her as-is.

Look forward to some more sunny days!
