to the chap I who wanted it when I bought it, so its gone to a good home.....
If its all right with you chaps I'll hang about, this site has often given me a good chuckle and I've even entered the 'My Fazer with/next to...etc' Challenge once or twice, which has been fun.
I've gone to the Dark Side and bought this:

Watch out for Belach na Ba, if any in the party are new riders are not 100% confident - I did it because it had to be done even though I'm a fairly inexperienced rider,
but it scared the sh*t out of me. but I wasn't happy.... though the view from the top was cracking!

How is your riding position and posture? Do you relax your shoulders? We often unknowingly tense up which causes all sorts of pains.
I reckon I was as relaxed as I could be given that I was riding in heavy rain (30 years since I did that!) through the Scottish Grampians up then down the A9 and then coming back the last section down the M6/A66 from Carlisle in rain and wind and then A1 in a strong cross wind. There were still 2 up tourers coming past me in the mountains at the legal max (ahem) but that would have scared the ****out of me, well out of my comfort zone. Methinks more riding required, maybe an IAM course..

Not today, but last week, went to Scotland on the bike.
Stayed with family in Nairn. Did Bealach Na Ba, 2 distilleries (Glen Morangie, Dornoch Firth, and Glen Moray, Elgin), Kinlochewe Service Station (Applecross Pass??) Loch Ness, Fort Augustus and Urquhart Castle, Bruar Falls, the A9 roadworks and some sh*** weather. The only thing I regret was not getting to Dunnet Head and JOG. Still, a reason to go again.
Arse fine, neck ache a killer, riding south on the A1 yesterday I've never driven so far leaning 30' into a crosswind......

I'm 5'7" and 12 st ish. I have an MRA screen, still trying to work out best angle.
I think Sharpie's right - the cure is to ride more. However, that wasn't possible at the time so I found a treatment - TigerBalm (for them wot don't know - and I didn't - it's rub on deep heat stuff, cheap at Sainsbury's) applied liberally to the shoulders and neck, and paracetamol. That did the trick, especially coming home (Nairn - Carlisle - Cambridge)
(NB see 'what did you do with your Fazer')

Hi Red, mtread, Had a look at ‘Fazer time’ looked like a cracking trip, I'm impressed! Anyone else hasn't seen 'Red the Intrepid Explorer' – here - http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,20810.0.html?PHPSESSID=2kgihcuhbrgucpcfd70b8j0230I’m taking a week out as a precursor to Spain next year – a mate said ‘pop over’ so next year its Santander to Barcelona via the Pyrenees, and as I’ve never ever done anything like this on the bike before I thought Scotland would be good ' training'. Going from Carlisle north via the A9 (boring maybe) as 25 years ago I drove up and there was a very particular fish and chip shop in Pitlochry, and a few miles north is Bruar Falls, ( https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/perthshire/falls-of-bruar.shtml ) and I want to revisit both. I’m going to be based at Nairn and the idea is to take days out, head up to the top, go west towards Skye, head down to Glencoe, circular-ish type routes maybe even head southeast ish as well.

come on guys, even if no one does the challenge, I was at least expecting a slew of humour, along the lines of
is no one desparate to do this one, or
how come you can never find one when you want one, or maybe a little more creative.... is everyone on holiday or is this one particularly crap?

Not so much today but ongoing, s/h Oxford luggage picked up from evilbay cleaned up and proofed, came up better than I thought, to add to top box for storage, crash bars fitted thanks to the engineers at work, Peterborough MCN show in a fortnight to find overtrousers and a tank bag and have a good nose around.
The plan still to head towards Inverness and a week of touring around the NC500 in August, A1, Scotch Corner, Penrith, Carlisle, round Glasgow and Edinburgh and straight up the middle via a stop off at possibly the best place in the world - Bruar Falls.

I'm sure its a wonderful place to visit and you had a good ride out, cracking mug shot but..... is 1863 old enough? I think in this instance it should count because the general idea was to get something really old/unusual in the picture (the building, not the mug shot!) and you've done that, so, go on then, next please

How about your bike next to a 17th or 18th century building, it has to have the date sculpted into the front of it, above the door or somewhere below the roof line?

Short hop over to Waterbeach yesterday for those nice chappies at M&M Motorcycles to fit new boots, BT023's front & rear. The previous tyres were original vintage 2003 Good service, good atmosphere, free coffee while I waited (thanks Mum) and plenty bantaaaaa . They were also very complimentary about the extensive service I had done last year, and were interested in who did it, because they thought he did a good job - it was deefer 666 over at Motorcycle Republic at Molesworth. They were also doing MOT's, including the chap who bought his indian built matt black stealth-vespa in (it passed) - in a van...... Well, that was a fun saturday morning
