Hey all, I recently bought a replacement rear indicator for my 2001 FZS600 as the insides of the previous one had rotted. I put the new indicator on but noticed the shaft went all the through to the bulb head but kept turning as I tightened the bolt under the seat to hold it on so therefore the thing wasn’t tightening.
It looks like a really bad design on the new one.
Has anyone had similar problems and how did you get around it!!

Can't believe I'm moaning about sorting my brakes out! Part ordered.

Thanks guys,
I rebuilt it and it still failed to bleed properly.
The flow was very poor from both bleed nipples and it wouldn't engage the pistons properly.
Thanks for the Fowlers link, thats where my local bike shop said I should try.
50 quid it is then.

Hello!
I recently had to replace pistons and seals on my rear caliper as the rear brake completely failed.
While I was taking it all to pieces, I thought replace the brake line and seals in the master cylinder.
Brake line not a problem, seals in the master cylinder on the other hand are like rocking horse s..t!
I went into my local biker shop, they aren't listed unless you got to Yamaha which are 50 a set.
Anyone had a similar experience? Do they ever fail? Is that why they aren't around or common as others?
I am wondering if after stripping the plunger, etc out of the cylinder perhaps I should just rebuild it and hope a clean out was all it needed.

My current caliper has seized completely so need a replacement. I have pads but will buy them too if it's all in.
Thanks.

when I took it for test ride doing 16 miles, that was enough to convince me that this a fazer replacement! when I sold the fazer I wanted something a little lower and lighter so I traded it in for a ER6F . I just couldn't get along with it did 4,000 in 4 years and it almost killed biking for me. if it wasn't for our lass convincing me to try another ,I wouldn't be riding today. I dont know what it was with the ER tried two seat mods, higher bars.. hip use to ache every time I did a long trip.. I've had a couple of maxi's so I considered getting one... I said to our lass if they(japs) bring out an auto bike I'll buy it. ended up with an NC700X dct loved it but not the looks.lol I thought when I'm sat on I'm not looking at it .. after a while it didn't look to bad. I was planning on selling it and getting a 'S' 750 model then yamaha brought out the tracer 700. ooh I like that and a test ride prove it was the one for me. got a good part ex.with it being an ex demo I saved about £720... it only had 350 mile of which I did 16 miles. its off the road at the mo but getting all the accessories on. I'm like a big kid in a candy shop(just turned 65)
I got a Versys (same kind of setup as the ER6F) after my Thundercat, lovely bike but like you it nearly ended me. Good riding position but I wasn't half as keen to get out there as I was with my Cat. Got rid of the Versys and got me my Fazer, 4 cylinders of loveliness and now I am happy again but I am liking the Tracer, looks and reviews. Maybe my next one...

Just got a Drift Stealth 2, good solid cam, weather resistant, light and solid fitting for my helmet. £92 from Amazon.
Also its on the side of my lid rather than the top like some fittings. Easy clip in/out.
1080p at 30fps and has been really good in the poor light recently.
