The Oakdene carpark was like a boating lake, needless to say mine was the only bike there until a Tracer splashed it's way in as I was leaving. Had a good ride on mainly B roads to the Airport Cafe. The place was heaving as usual but only 3 other bikes were there. On leaving I discovered the only road to Canterbury from that area was closed. Kent seems to be one massive diversion at the moment. Eventually the satnav sorted me out an alternative route, and was soon exiting Canterbury en route for Whitstable. Found Adrian in the non moving drinks/burger queue, and by the time he'd got served there was no time to eat as the bikes started to leave at 13:30, so something chocolatey got chowed down in record time. The route follows the coast west as much as possible, with plenty of hardy souls braving the chill to support the procession of bikes. A quick cup of tea and a biscuit at the hospital and it was back on the bike and heading for home. Within 15 minutes of leaving, the rain started, which to be fair, was on the radar. No point in searching out a twisty route home, so it was M2/M25 and home. Other than the rain at the end, it had been a good day to be out on the bike with another 190 miles added to the Triumph.
