I don't know what took me so long!  This is my first bike so I had to buy all the gear just to ride it so modifications weren't really a priority.  Now I'm curious to see what other owners are doing with their fazers.  Great site seems to have alot of traffic.  Don't know about europe but there's not that many fazers here, definitely no clubs.  Alot of italian bikes for some reason.

I'll post some pics as soon as I wash her!  I don't have the luxury of a garage so it's hard to keep her sparkling at all times.

I live on the island of Montréal in the Rosemont suburb.  I've been using the internet long enough to know not to post your address!

Bonsoir à vous.

About 5 feet 10-11 inches.  When to Boston and back last year which is about 1000km and my trapezius muscles were killing me. Killing me!  I feel my back and neck are more straight now.  I'm doing a similar trip soon so I'll see if I need as much voltaren this time.  Slight difference in the handling but nothing too dramatic.  I actually like the different feel.

Yes they are just plastic covers, pretty embarassed when I found out..

Anyway, I just installed risers last night.  I found these at my local bike shop: http://zeta-racing.com/clamps/bar_rise_286/index.html

They sit directly in your current handlebar bed then you screw on the top clamp.  I used the 30mm, about 1 1/4 inch.  I wouldn't go higher than that.  The brake cable is pretty tight but the guy at the bike shop said it should be fine.  You can turn your handlebars forward to give it a bit of slack, but that pushed your brake and clutch a bit further down but not too much.

I was looking at these http://shop.sw-motech.com/en/by+products/Ergonomics/Bar+Riser/index.htm  e-mailed the company and they told me they won't fit on the fazer..
I'm sure you can find other ones online but I wanted to make sure they fit that's why I bought them at the shop.  Plus they were cheaper than any I found online.  49$ Cdn.

Makes a huge difference I should have done this a long time ago.

Cheers

I have the same questions.  4th comment on this page has some info: http://www.779cc.org/forum/fz8-mods/663-bar-risers.html
Looks like he was able to go 1.5inches.

I have not tried yet but I wonder how to remove the silver caps on top of the screws and not damage the paint on the handle bar mount.  Any idea?

For Sale & Wanted / Wanted - Stock turn signals.

Previous owner changed the turn signals for LED's which I don't like.  Anyone has  turn signals for front and back?  Living in Canada.
