Happy Christmas all, enjoyed a fantastic birthday ride yesterday from Mickeys Diner on Bluebell Hill to the Bosun's Bite in Rye Harbour opposite Lifeboat station via some very cruddy lanes with guys from KAMG. Weather was lovely & mild, bike was a camoulflage brown instead of blue by the time I returned home, even reached my lid😱 Hoping to be out Boxing Day too 😉

Really? I love riding with him, fast but safe 👌 and I only have a Fazer8 after having an R1 for ten years which did everything from track days to touring lol 💞 I'm not going with dazza. That boy's insane

That looks great, know that area well as my parents moved to Gresford many years ago & my youngest brother lives in Minera, not a million miles from Ponderosa. Great roads, hope you have great weather too 👌

Much better today, my toes have suffered from being mangled by horses feet with metal shoes on, so not a pretty sight at best of times, hoping nail comes off & a more attractive one grows in it's place!

Sorry to miss this, went to Lydden for Kent Firebike day, but bike fell on top of me in dodgy loose chipping car park. So after very nice chauffeur ride to Ashford A&E as they couldn't spare an ambulance had xrays after 4 hour wait, dripping blood from ties. Have open fracture on big toe & it's neighbour is fractured in several places, so have antibiotics & pain relief plus fetching wedge heel sandal to keep weight off my ties. Healing well, now able to drive car using ball of foot for clutch, but be a while before I can change gear on bike, which was unscathed 😱

Hi Grandma,
I usually go to the Pied Bull on Boxing Day and New Years Day for the traditional lunchtime meets, unfortunately have something else on tomorrow. Was quite surprised to see my Speed Triple in the last of the photos you posted.What year was that taken? Hope the weather stays dry, ride safe.

Just realised you are not far from me lol Have friends who live at Ashburnham and my IAM bike group went to Ogri's at Horam last Sunday. Hope you have been able to find a decent slot of reasonable weather to enjoy your bike. We are off to Essex today, meeting at Dartford, so fingers crossed.EnjoyChristine

I agree, had my 2012 Fazer 8 since Sept 2012 as ex demo, absolutely love it, previously has 5PW R1, which have given to my son, and Gen1 Fazer 1000 which I loved but 50 kgs heavier than R1 so after 2 years reluctantly found it a new home, it had been Ivanised so nearly as quick as R1 but I am 9 stone and 5'6" so bit of an unequal struggle, briefly had the Gen 2 which I hated, hence the 8.
Does touring, track days commuting, all I have added is heated grips.

To save my sanity over Christmas I escape to the Pied Bull at A20 Farningham Boxing Day. Planning to go tomorrow, usually an interesting mix of bikes & peeps and I park at the top of the High Street on a garage forecourt with bars to prevent cars doing this when shut, but room for a bike, as the High St is usually packed solid.

Hope you were able to go, it is an amazing event, with more bikes attending each year, used to help marshall the actual ride with the help of the Police of course, who trained us to help them and hold traffic at junctions and traffic lights so the riders could progress safely without hold ups. No longer have the time sadly, but a very worthwhile and enjpoyable day

Off to Classic Bike show at East of England showground on 29th been off bike for three weeks due to plaster cast for broken wrist which came off yesterday so hoping decent weather lasts 😎

That sounds terrific I was stuck at Sedlescombe with a horse show but not able to be on bike just yet, my brother has just moved to Lydd, the cafe at the airport is pretty good

Not been on bike since Firebike day at Brands on 26th as I broke my wrist 4 weeks ago & they gave me a splint I was able to take off but now have a blue plaster cast until 21st when I hope they will take it off.

My brain is finally working after trip away, and managed a quick, and I mean quick ride last evening with my son on his R6 and his friend on R1 to 1066 on A21 to find it had closed at 4.30pm! lol Fazer morphed into R1 mode and wasn't disgraced, led back through the lanes as couldn't face A21 again  Good to see you visited the Ringlestone, one of my favourite pubs, does it have electricity now, used to visit it back in the day when it was candlelit. Often pass it on the way back from Faversham when I cut through the lanes. Attached article with first R1, still have second blue one which my son now owns as well as his R6 and CBR400RR. Hopefully will make next ride, off to Cornwall Saturday with caravan and dogs just for the weekend.
