Few pics from todays whizz out on the Triumph now that it's Ulez compliant. First stop was Coulsdon on the A23 to watch the Veteran car run to Brighton.

Next stop was the Ace, which had a celebration to mark the 60th anniversary of the making of the film The Leather Boys, which featured Dudley Sutton and Rita Tushingham. The turnout of period cafe racers was, I thought, a bit disappointing, but maybe that scene is not as heavily supported as it was only 10 or so years ago. Besides that, the records played were right up my street, with a backdrop of the film being shown. A drag around the south and north circulars is torture at the best of times, but now with the added bonus of endless 20mph limits, let's just say I won't be in a rush to do that again. A few pics from the Ace.

Out on what is called the Turkey run in West Cork for the weekend. On public roads that defied the image of normal public roads, green lanes that were once tarred and now so badly damaged you would be hard pressed to get a 4 wheel drive through. Trail bike are great mode of transport for these roads.
Great fun and can't wait for the next run, great variation of bikes with the biggest bike probably being a 700cc

looks superb and as you rightly say no one can complain if you utilise these abandoned roads

It was MOT day last Friday for the Speed Triple, passing with no advisories fortunately. She’ll be able to celebrate her 30th birthday at the weekend with a whizz down to Whitstable, providing the weather plays ball.

Well, last Sunday turned out to be a washout. Whilst the majority of the country was dry, the south east corner, taking in Kent, was decidedly wet from early morning to at least midday. I just couldn’t work up the enthusiasm to get myself moving, especially as I was going on my own, so wimped out, which is very unlike me, and got on with some Fazer maintenance.
