He started off with a target of £100. As at 9:45 tonight, his just giving page has raised £3,643,995. Thats over 36,000 times his original target.

Think his target was £1000, but regardless he's just smashed the £4million mark. That's some serious money. :woot

Don't mean to put a downer on this but asking how does it work - are they pledges that need backing up with a payment or are they confirmed payments.

When you make a donation, you give your payment details and they take the money there and then. You can click to do Gift Aid too so a percentage of the money may take a bit of time to be paid by HMG

Ok great. Its just the likes of red nose day they always say "pledged amount" and I often wonder how many people rang up drunk and when sober - backed off.
