I bought a pair of Sport Smarts
online a few weeks ago (£230 delivered) through Oponeo (who? I hear you cry) one of europes largest tyre retailers.
I've bought loads of tyres from them, and they nearly always have the best prices.
Anyway, their online ordering isn't too clever, you have to order the items singularly, so two separate orders, with two separate email confimations.
Courier rolls up, with just the front, confirms he hasn't got the rear on his van, and it's to follow.
So I sign for the front, and make myself a cuppa.
Half an hour later, sitting down I read through the delivery doct, and it turns out Oponeo have lumped my two orders together....and it appears I've actually signed for two tyres...but I'm in receipt of only one!.....merde!
I ring Oponeo (they are in Poland, but it's an 0800 number..so no problem) expecting a shedload of grief and distress, only to find that the young lady on the other end (really sexy slavic accent
) of the line is without doubt the most helpful person handling complaints that I've spoken to for years.
She confirmed that I had actually signed for two, and technically of course, Oponeo were not legally obliged to do any more, but went on to say that she would replace the missing tyre of give a full refund.
Two days later, (today) true to their word, another rear tyre is delivered...job done.
In these days of shitty attitudes and service, I cannot recommend this company highly enough....if you are in the market for rubber....give them a shot...you won't be dissapointed.
