Ivanising 2017
« on: 10 August 2017, 07:59:58 pm »
I don't normally post on the forum but felt my visit to see Ivanising Mike today was worthy of mention. I knew from research that Ivanising was money well spent and I was not wrong! I guess it's all been said before but even in my relatively inexperienced hands the difference is amazing! On/off throttle is now super smooth, roll on in any gear or speed is linear, constant throttle is spot on and lean surge a thing of the past! Top end rush is a bonus but the overall improvement in usability at low/mid range revs now makes this bike a joy to ride!.. I don't need to ride loads of miles to know this mod is a winner! Massive thanks to Mike and Mrs Mike who makes a mean cuppa!! Next job....suspension :b

Great!  Exactly the feedback I love to read.  Thanks, John - I'm delighted that the work today came up to your expectations. :)

Hopefully summer will return to what it should be this year and you'll get chance to enjoy the bike properly over the next few months.

One down, ten to go ... ;)

I visited mike today for a full monty and one of my after install tests was riding up a hill in 1st gear at 10mph, no surging at all, very impressed at the transformation in bottom end rideability.
Everything else john mentioned is what I noticed too but couldn't have put it better.
It's now a pleasure to ride in town traffic rather than a pain in the butt.
Many thanks from me too mike, it was great to meet you today.
Ken.

Thanks, Ken.   And thanks, too, for travelling all the way up to Leicester.  Nice to hear you think it was worth the effort. :)

Cheers!

Mike

I had so much fun on the m1 rolling on and off the throttle that I missed the m25 turn off and ended up in Wembley. Doh!

What you meant to say Ken:

I was 10mph all the way home to enjoy the silky smooth sensations of the full monty and have not yet reached my destination.  :D

Also had mine done today (2nd time ivanising) and the difference is emphasised even more so from riding a couple of months on standard.. oh how i've missed the full monty.

Cheers Mike.

Had the honour and privilege to meet Mike and have the full Monty today,it has now given the Frazer the wow factor that I felt was missing. Looking forward to trying it out over the weekend.
It was a education to watch Mike do his magic and very  much enjoyed the chat.

Yep 3800-5000 rpm is a big difference, throttle response at 4000 rpm is instant and with a lovely surge of power it made my ride home on the m1 a real pleasure, oh what fun I had.
Low rpm is silky smooth too but as yet I haven't explored the upper reaches of the rev counter.
It's worth every penny.
Mike's the man.

Nice to know everyone's happy. :)

What Stuboy didn't mention was that we discovered his was a French import which still had the carb restrictors in place.  From 95 to 135bhp in about 2 hours. ;)

I have one set of Full Monty parts surplus to requirements as one of today's clients already had Ivan's Slip-On kit installed and we decided to leave it that way.  I'll be heading down to Liskeard on Tuesday and there for a week.

If anyone would like to get their Fazer 'Ivanised' this side of next April, this is the only chance you'll get as I won't be over again with the toolkit before then.  Drop me an e-mail (mikegreatorexAThotmail.com) if you'd like to snaffle up this last Full Monty install for 2017. :)

A big thank you to Mike, for his work today.
Was nice to meet such a genuine man and share a few stories, or more than a few from me :-)
His knowledge and time are greatly appreciated.

Turned out mine already had the slip on kit fitted, but was going for the Full Monty anyway so went ahead.
The bike is now much smoother on acceleration in all gears, it al.ways pulled hard but now its more predictable .
The throttle which was on or off is now sorted which was my main reason for the mod, smoother power delivery at slower speeds.
When throttling off its not like you've hit the kill switch like before.
Pulling away from standing is now smooth and controlled.
Mid range torque is up so less down shifting.
