Be careful, someone I was talking to the other day cut theirs out and ended up with a bill for over £300 to put things right. I have a meta on mine and am constantly paranoid about it failing after all the stories I've heard.

I would have let them pass, for no other reason than I thoroughly enjoy coming up behind other bikers and having a little bit of fun. I guess that makes me an idiot too. But aren't we all at times ?

Oh and if a woman is wearing a burkha it's incredibly unlikely that she would be driving a car in the first place because her faith would prevent her from doing so, only the men are allowed to drive... [ /quote]Was with you till you said that, I got side swiped in my car by a woman wearing a burka driving a rav4. Saying that I do think it's a bit insensitive making ugly people reveal themselves in public when it's obvious they're ....

Jabbascot, it's a genuine yamaha touring screen for the gen 2 fazer. I got it off of fleabay s/h I think the part no. is .....3c3-w0710-00-00. Have got to say it's really effective. Totally eliminated wind blast to all but the top of my helmet and has made the bike so much more comfortable at motorway speeds. Good luck.

Well I'm no expert but I have dropped mine 15mm with no issues even when I have had to do emergency stops with my back wheel leaving the floor. I have heard of 20 and even 30mm but I guess it's just a matter of how many pies you like to eat.

Well done lads, yep done it last week. Looks like I'll be having it out again tomorrow. Been walking past it for 3 days now, thought it was a rubber washer until I booted it (like ya do).

Hello foc'ers, can anyone identify this. Looks to me like some sort of bearing spacer.....10mm inside dia, 15mm outside and 4mm thick. Found it near my bike

Don't clean my chain that often but when I do I prefer to use sulphuric acid. I love the way it fizzes and smokes on contact with anything it touches and the smell, the smell it makes is divine.

The filter should be removable by hand now due to the grip afforded by the sticky tape. Probably works with duck tape too. [ /quote] Would love to know how you get your hands in there

Down your neck of the woods atm manuel32, unfortunately in the cage with my little girl. Have been drooling at the roads and going green with envy everytime I see a biker but with a 4 hour journey to home and such unpredictable weather I didn't think it fair to her to take the bike. Maybe next time.

Thanks for all your replies, didn't think I nipped it up that tight and I ran some oil on the rubber seal. I don't know about you guys but I'm starting to think that most modern components nowadays are made of cheese. Bought a new tv about 3 years ago...It's foc'd already, threw out a perfectly working old fashioned hitachi.....gutted.

What is this crud substance you talk of, I have only ever filled mine with petrol but if crud will make it go further, I may give this a try. My apologies Phil if I come across as smug, not my intention....Thought it may be of interest, that's all.
