I don't know --- its all well and good looking cool but not many look like they will handle very well in anything other than a straight line. Like those solid wheels - how the hel are you going to get them around the corner with the gyoscopic effect of that mass.   Also manufacturer's are great at showing us bikes without a crappy uk reg plate but as soon as you add one it completely spoils the rear look - heck some don't even have indicators --- yes I know that you don't need them in this country by law but any "coolness" is going to be negated by you sticking your hand out like Frank Spencer when you want to make a turn.
But a having said all that the bike that always seems tro turn my head is a Brutale

And the gear shift looks like it is designed for space suit wearers, seems that cool and practical rideability do not go hand in hand. Or the ability to go around corners

excellent thread VNA.
Theres a firm stateside doing a z1esque four pipe setup for kwacks current z900. aside from the paint it makes the bike look pretty cool imho.

also, I finally got a buyer more than happy to pay proper money for my cb13. Took it out today for its last ride, for a coffee at costa in Chepstow. Sat there drinking me large latte looking at it out of the window and thought 'fuck it. I know I'm broke and not working, but your going nowhere. best I get meself a job...'
I know they aint most peoples idea of cool. but for me, Honda got this bike very, very right, and its got its own beautifully engineered cool, and then some :)
PS guy martins turbo gixxer pikes peak bike. I wouldn't wanna ride it but its deffo cool. as is the man.

FFS! :eek :eek   I didn’t call the thread the practicable and good handling bike thread.  Jesus. :lol
This is purely about cool and being cool.

Dude look at it, it is so fucking cool.  I don’t even like dragster and chopper bikes, but I cannot deny that thing is cool.  The shapes and minimalism are perfect.  And check the lack of cables, it’s got a twist clutch with the cable running down the inside of the bars.  It is pure stylised handmade minimalist totally bling free cool.

You know Ogri sometimes the Japanese accidently make something cool.  I personally think CB13000’s are cool.  Not ice cool, but cool all the same.  It’s just UJM on steroids and somehow it just looks great.

A Fazer thou might be a far far better bike, but it will never ever be as cool as the CB13000.

I think this one will age well.  And of course it has to be the naked one, a nose fairing wrecks it.

Your numberplate needs to be angled backwards somewhat, it's far too easy to read :lol .

I'd love to give one a go. Not sure I'd want to own it though... same with the Yamaha Vmax

Tell ya what... stick a proper headlight on that and I reckon they would be onto something. I cant wait till Yamaha starts sticking that MT-10 engine I to something pretty. Something like an xsr1000 🤔

It’s got a headlamp.  Problem with the MT10 engine is it’s thirst.  Way too thirsty.

Yeah bit its absolutely foccing fugly

And all the best vehicles are thirsty Haha you dont buy a Ferrari then complain it only does 5 to the gallon. My Gen 2 only does 80-100 miles to a tank because it tuned to shit and rips ya damn arms off everytime you open the throttle....  where as the brothers versys 650 does well over 250 miles to a tank but is dull as dishwasher.... horses for courses and all that. I would imagine the MT10 will have the same MPG as an R1....

Anyways there isnt anything cool about MPG and tank range...... let's get back to buisness

The only Harley Davidson logo that I could live with being seen on....

That's definitely the best looking Harley made IMO, and that Triumph is gorgeous but I tested one a couple of years ago and was a bit daunted by the weight ,I kept thinking I was going to drop it on tight corners and car parks! definitely one for the big guys not a wimp like me.  :lol but that De-bolex absolutely the business. :thumbup

Whoops sorry, it is the cool bike thread not the practicable bike thread.  Doh!  And lets face it, when you are cool, there’s always a gas station round the next corner when you need it.
