What I don't get is that if a veggie comes round for tea they expect you to knock up a veggie meal to suit them, , but if you go round a veggie's house they won't knock up steak and chips to suit you, doesn't seem fair really.

Have you tried the MRA Varioscreen
I had one on mine when brought, I'm 6'2" and found standard screen was better, it came with bike so cost nothing to compare them both. No matter how I adjusted it, it didn't work for me. It might be good for you though. Good luck with the work, summer is coming :-)
Haven't tried it yet mate but I've got a Puig double bubble as well as the original so hopefully one will do the trick. I had a Varioscreen on my Varadero and that was pretty good but had one on my new model crossrunner and that was a complete waste of money. Need a bit of decent weather for some experiments.

Anybody fitted these to their Gen. 1 or does everyone go for the ultra low bars. If you have fitted either did you keep the old cables and hoses. First decent ride on my 1000 at the weekend (after the 3 w s, waiting for it, work and weather) and the original bars are proper sh1te, not sure who they were designed to fit but it certainly wasn't a 5ft. 10 bloke with normal elbows. I definitely need less sweep, maybe a bit more height and a little bit closer to me I reckon? Apart from that, and the weather, what a lovely bike to ride. All info. gladly received. Cheers Gents.

Still after the MRA Varioscreen, givi pannier holders, radiator guard, frame crash thingys and a big dose of riding skill if anyone is stripping their bike for sale or has some surplus. Cheers Carl

I've given up giving up because when I give up I realise that I miss what I have given up so I un-give up. So the answer is don't give up.

300+ miles form Somerset, I used to live in Yeovil so a bit far to travel to look at a cheap bike really. Good luck with your search mate.

Fazer wanted for me to use to commute and ride out close to somerset. Money needs to be close to £1500 but anything considered. The sooner the better as i am starting a new job this month and travelling by car is not n option.
What is out there???????????
hello mate. Thinking about selling my 600 due to imminent arrival of a 1000, situated near Newcastle, where abouts do you live 2002 £1350. Cheers Carl

I've got a vario, love it. How's the bike feller, all good I hope?
Hello Ogri, you've got a grey one, my favourite colour scheme. Still waiting for it at the moment, Owen has a lot of work on so I won't be able to get it until the back end of next week, quite refreshing to deal with a shop that won't rush something through to get a bike out of the door. I'm in no rush because it's still cold up here so whatever suits Owen and the delivery company is good with me. It's hard work not buying stuff for it 'cos I don't want to tempt fate, a few wanted adverts hitting the forum soon hopefully.
