Hi, you could cut the wires each side of blocks use 2 small screw terminal blocks with suitable short length of wire to bridge gap & wrap in self amalgamating tape for waterproofing,but I personally would remove the female connector from the block with a very small screwdriver you should see a tang inside the block that needs holding down while you pull on the wire,then you can clean terminal, bend it a little if it needs to make fit tighter to male spade, inspect the block.

Hi,it is normal for the wheel to spin with the clutch pulled in but you should be able to stop it,use your foot instead of your hand.
Make sure you lube the gear change lever pivots,adjust free play at the clutch lever (cable stretched) clean & lube the clutch mechanism in the housing, also how old is your oil.

I read somewhere a long time ago about some tyre fitters not liking the use of tyre sealant so I asked at my local Yamaha dealership (now the oldest dealership in the country)their opinion on it was,we sell the stuff to the customer to use & tyre fitters that moan about it are just being lazy not wanting to clean the wheel & tyre inside before repair.
As darrsi said as long as the correct qty is put in the tyre to coat the inner surface no imbalance will occur, in the States & other parts of the world they use balance beads instead of weights with no ill effect.

Hi, can you give us a bit more info,like do you here a clicking sound when you switch on,does the bike turn over when you first press the button turn over quickly or slowly initially. Don't discount the battery just yet as you said once it's started it runs fine & when you turn it off & restart it all's ok putting some charge into the battery.
If the battery is the original (japan motor co)one then it is probably due for renewal or may need a good recharge.

When you refitted the fuel tank did you give the three black hoses a good tug down to make sure they are not kinked,these are found hanging down underneath the bike below the right hand side foot peg.
Make sure you always give them a tug after fitting/lifting fuel tank as pressure can build up in the tank & you could get a face full of petrol when you open the tank filler.

If the two connector blocks have a short length of wiring looped in them they are for a Yamaha aftermarket alarm system.

You will find that you will have to undo & do it up with a ring spanner as you can't get a torque wrench or socket on it due to the frame. Just nip it up don't be tempted to over tighten as you will strip the threads.

I just use philips screwdriver bits myself checking that they fit snugly say a no2 for brake reservoir screws or if you have it the original bike toolkit should have the correct screwdriver in it.

Put the bike on the centre stand & turn the handlebars to the left which should put the resevoir level,you should able to see top of fluid in the eye glass ,unless it's over filled or empty  .

Maybe it's just me but pozidrive heads on machine screws seems wrong. Pozidrive heads are for wood screws. Vehicle cross head screws are supposed to be Philips heads aren't they? Like I say, maybe it's just me.
Maybe but the screw heads on Japanese bikes are JIS heads not Philips or Pozidrive that's why the heads get chewed up. JIS screw bits/screwdrivers are becoming hard to find now & expensive, the Japanese are now fazing the JIS screws out so philips drivers will have to do.

It is common for the fluid level to drop as new pass and brakes settle in though right?
Well not really,when new pads are fitted the pistons in the calipers have to be pushed back in to receive the new thicker pads when the calipers are refitted the brakes are operated to push the pistons back out & brake fluid level will drop this should be topped up if required,then the fluid level should only drop with pad wear very very slowly.

You need to heat the stickers with either a heat gun or hairdryer the dryer being a bit safer to release to adhesive. As for the BMW well it could be worse like a Volvo!.
