Stud Part Number 90116−06475
Nut Part number 90179−06668
You would need 8 of each if you intend changing them all

Cheers mate, I've ordered 3 to replace the ones that broke. No point in ordering more because I'm probably going to get shot when this job is done.

I'm currently sat outside a Yamaha dealer waiting for them to open so I can hopefully get some new exhaust manifold studs.

Listen to the Martin Bailey Photography Podcast on iTunes. Make sure you start from the first episode. You won't need anything else.

Are there any satnavs that actually know the speed limits of the roads?
There are plenty that include or can add speed camera warnings, but they only know the speed limit at that particular location... what I'd like is a warning that I'm getting close to the "summons" speed wherever I am, not just at certain spots.

CoPilot on iPhone will do this. But of course you have the problem of mounting it. But not impossible.

What really hacks me off about this is when I replaced my exhaust last year I managed to get all the nuts off ok. I reused them knowing I'd need to replace them. Yesterday I set about doing this. Stupidly the first one snapped because due to not much sleep the night before and not thinking I forced the nut off without easing it back and forth to loosen it. The second one, well that would have snapped anyway I think. Another one was so badly rusted it unscrewed the stud out of the engine. Not so much of a problem.

To remove my broken ones I'm going to cut a slot in the end of the stud with my dremel. Then heat the head with a blow torch to expand it away from the stud to loosen it. Hopefully this will work as I can't be asked removing the engine.

I blame the corporate miracle workers for making ever inhuman promises to an ever demanding public before the proper implementation of automated drones.

Hey msmudge, I feel your pain but if this track isn't built it would make not one jot of difference to your plight.  Different budgets.

Mickey

No. I know it won't. But it's just not right when another school is getting £19m for a new building. I'm sure £19m off the £280m budget for the track won't make much of a difference to the facilities there.

Anyway rant over, as I don't want to hijack the thread.

I know I'm a biker and that what I'm going to say will piss most if you off. But I hope this dies on its arse. Only yesterday I went to a meeting to discuss the closure of my daughters comprehensive school happening Sept 2015. Right when she's doing her GCSE's. They say they only have £6m to refurbish an old school which will accommodate two schools. It's a fucking joke. Well at least she'll be able to work there as a waitress when she fails her exams due to the upheaval.
Sorry about the rant guys. But it's just how I feel.

As an example answer this question:

As a motorcyclist is it legal to overtake a car on a solid white line?

What I was taught about filtering during my course was that it's ok apart from on solid whites and zig zags, and as long as you don't go to the front of the queue.

Your right about the zig zags. You can overtake on solid white lines as long as you don't encroach on the line and leave enough space for the vehicle your passing.

This surprised me. But it just shows how knowing the Highway Code well can help when you need it.

I was told don't go to the front of the queue too. But foc that!

On my Honda MAC course I was taught to filter by the ex-copper instructor. He said their was no real rules that apply to it other than all the rules in the Highway Code. He said that the police work by the idea that if filtering is done safely then it's ok. Speed should only be appropriate to allow safe stopping. The main thing that stuck with me is that if he ever saw a bike filtering with the traffic speed was above 20mph he would pull them for driving without due care.

I know that the rules of filtering weren't asked, but I felt this info was needed to clarify how it should be done. So know your Highway Code.

Sorry! I don't want to (cheat). Am I allowed 2 entries?

She'd have to get off the bike for that.  ;)

I don't know what you mean? ;0)

Has anyone ever gone "backwards" say from a PR2/3 to the older/cheaper BT021's or similar???

I think you'll be hard pushed to find someone who's done this. It certainly won't be me.
I'm so impressed I've even bought a set of 4 Michelins for my car.

7500 miles on my PR3's and the rear is not far from knackered. But 95% of my riding is on the motorway. They are awesome tyres though. Not even noticed winter coming grip wise.
My last continental tyres wore down to the metal before I came anywhere near the wear indicators. Any believe it or not they were still legal until the metal showing through because there was no tread pattern down the centre of the tyre. Not a very safe design, but good for extra miles. My PR3's have already out lasted them though so worth the extra money.

Maybe this guy needs to see the Autocar video where he can see what a bike can do to a mclaren.
He obviously doesn't understand the word race either because in the video I was watching the bike won, because it was in front.
