make sure the battery earth is good and I would check connections around the flasher relay, it is an earthing problem so as said earlier run another earth back to battery even temporarily and use it to augment the earths next to all the components.

I am actually a Buddie, but down here no one knows of Pasley, thats how they pronounce no "i" in it.
But was dragged up the greener side of life: my Mother in Law was a season ticket holder at Ibrox, and just as well we laid her to rest 2 yrs ago she wouldn't have enjoyed this season!!!!

I am one of the 1400 sad souls buying St Mirren from Gilmour. so have 2 Scottish teams until we get promoted or is that relegated!!

Thanks Townhill, Cheers as a commute also bike the breva is possibly a more sensible choice than a hayabusa but who knows what I will be riding next.
Two of my sons mates have bought fazer 1000 on an FZ1, one from a fazer 600, the other from a hornet 900 and it did give me food for thought but a swap deal came up and I did the dead.

My time with the fazer was short but helped me realise biking was definately something an old git like me should continue to do.

So I have bought a newer bike more befitting my grey hair poor eyesight and short legs-------I know you are all thinking Harley But!!

I bought a Guzzi Breva 1100 always wanted a Guzzi but never seemed to get round to it until now.

The fazer forum is ace and having already signed on at the Guzzi one, from the pictures of members I must be one of the youngest (60)

So thanks for having me and cheerio.

yeah it is on soft side I would move it 3 clicks and see how it is from there, after giving it a good spray of wd40 or similar.

dont know if you can slip some heat wrap over and down?

If not try some of the self amalgamating tape on it. That's the stuff you can seal pipes with.

Does anyone know what would happen with an intermittent TPS?

I have had similar issues on cars and it has been either Cam or Crank sensors!!

Darrs,i do what I do, when I get in the shop take off helmet, then the facemask put then on his counter, then go through my pockets as slowly as I can, trying to find my wallet to pi** the focer off.

All done with a big smile on my face of course!!

I guess the first few miles disappeared quickly when you left the petrol station?

« on: 01 April 2017, 08:46:03 am »
Yes you need the link pipe to be Fazer down pipe diameter one end and the other end needs to be the can entry diameter.

I had to buy 2 new clams so will look at it today for sizes and post them, if the new end can diameter is too big you can add a sleeve to match the link can, in my youth we used to cut them out of tin cans!!

Have you thought about second hand?

I picked up a Scorpion end can with link pipe for £50

Not sure about universal but don't expect any real change in fuel consumption or power

Cheers Jules only had mine since Feb so confirms that it seems normal-- but hopefully after a carb balance this weekend will idle a bit better and be cleaner through low revs.

Yep looks ok but try moving chain on sprocket to check for excess movement.

But what is that crap sitting on the casing? it looks like metal swarf or shavings!!

Choke full on for morning first starts for me,
but after work, been sitting 8-9 hrs, half choke usually: last few warmer days don't like choke at all works best with just a blip to get it started, if I try choke it dies.
