I've ordered a (MOTOPOWER MP0609A 3.1Amp Waterproof Motorcycle USB Charger Kit SAE to USB Adapter Cable off Amazon)Probably add in a switch so it's not constantly live.
Gets it's chance  ;)

Maybe your right there Fella, maybe I'll buy a couple of battery packs instead and charge them before I go.

I could be wrong fella but I thought the difference was that USB 3 ports are about 10 times faster than USB 2.

The S8 would need a decent charge so your issue may have been that your previous USB 2 just didn't have the VA rating sufficient to power your phone. I've had USB adaptors for my old car to plug in the cigarette socket and some would barely charge my S7 phone whilst others would storm it.

Like I say, I could be wrong and someone who knows more will be along soon...........

I'm touring Scotland for 6 days in May  :) I would like to be able to charge my phone while riding.Last time up tgere I had a usb2 charge port on the bike but it wouldn't charge my Samsung s8.Just wondering what usb3.1 ports you already use to charge your smart phones.Any constructive advice appreciated.
Thanks  ;)

Mines almost the same, its only when changing gear and I'm pushing on a bit.
Haven't noticed it other than that yet but I've not long had the bike and the warmer weather (play days  ;) ) are on the way so its just an option I'm thinking of.
please do let me know what you find out Slimwilly.

Looks the same to me  :)

In the pics it looks like the lenses are a bit rough (no offence meant)
Is this the case or is it just muck & a fly graveyard ?

FZS600 Fazer / vibration @6k since engine was put back in.
« on: 18 July 2016, 08:14:57 am »
Morning all.
Had a nice ride down to Whitby & Skegness yesterday but vibrations caused problems.
Found that riding with revs at roughly 6k my fingers & thumb were going numb!
I know I'll be told not to ride at 6k revs  :rolleyes
Anyway I had the engine out over the winter (dredded snapped header bolts & eng repaint)
Also put now chain & sprockets on at same time  & ever since there's been a vibrations.
What I'd like to know, is there a specific sequence to bolting the end back in ?

Cheers in advance for any sane replies.

FZS600 Fazer / Does anyone align their rear wheel/chain this way ??
« on: 14 February 2016, 02:51:50 pm »
Hi Foccers.

Its possible I maybe I'm over thinking this but when I use the alignment marks on the rear arm to align the wheel it just doesn't seem to be sitting true.
My way of thinking let me to wonder if measuring the gap between the tyre and the swing arm would work !

Is this possible or am I barking up the wrong tree !!!

PM'd with regards to the Bellypan.

22
No mods to case, just remove the seal & clean out any crap  before fitting the bearing.
The bearings I use are rubber sealed on both sides, hope that helps.

23
That's a nice little modification. Just remember not to pressure wash them

Cheers,
Never pressure was the bike anyway (hardly gets cleaned  :lol )

24
Ok its been a while but I've now had the Sprocket cover off  ;)

Pulled the Shift shaft seals out & cleaned up the recesses, tried the bearings to see if they were actually going to fit or not.
They fitted a treat, nice & snug as they needed tapping in, so cant see them coming out unless there tapped put.

What a difference they've made, No more shaft play at all & shiftling gear now feels so much better.

I so wish I'd done this sooner  :wall

The bearings used were bought from Ebay (seller - Leomaxx22)
Advertised as "2pc 12x18x4 Rubber Sealed Ball Bearing Tamiya Kyosho Traxxas"
They only cost £2.13 so even if they only last a year they ain't going to break the bank  :lol

2003 600 Front & Rear Wheels £30

Looks like someon's been trying to polish up the rims but not done a very good job (i'd admit it if it was me  :lol )
I'd keep them for myself & have them powder coated but I don't trust myself to drill out the disc studs that have been snapped, especially as its all of them !
Probably an easy job for someone with the know-how & right tools no doubt.
Front has a Metzler roadtec tyre on it but its well worn (no snapped disc studs).

Selling as need room.

Collection from Northumberland (Few miles south of Amble on the East Coast)
