The insurance premium tax is going up again and again. Only a couple of years ago it was 6% - now 12%.
I don't think VAT is charged on insurance and so I wonder if they intend to steadily increase to match the VAT rate?
It has a big impact on home insurance too, and other instance products which affect small businesses in particular.

And they wonder why so many youngsters are caught driving without Insurance.
Because the fines (if you happen to get caught by our ever declining Traffic Police) are less than the extortionate policies and Premium Tax that you keep loading on them you fecking clueless numpties, that's why !!
Rant over.

Lesson learnt for everyone.
Don't ever be fooled or fobbed off when the government of the day says "oh it will only be a 2-4" or whatever % tax when it is introduced so that the stupid public don't kick-off. But once a tax has been implemented it will only ever increase.

Unreal. Given that bikes damage the roads less than cars and are subject to all new emission controls, what aren't they zero rated like some cars????
