Have UFO's Strangers in the night and most of ACDC in the car.
It's the only place I can listen to them loud without getting grief.

The kids never want a lift!

What did ya say!

An absolutely brilliant ride yesterday. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and nice being able to put faces to names.
Very much look forward to the next one :lol

Well done Chris.

Sorry Fazersharp only chuckled a little bit. :rollin

An invasion of Foccers to my territory is something  not to be missed (despite the rugby) so count me in. I know the route well and it's a good one with some nervy bends to catch out the unsuspecting and a wicked hairpin outside Uppingham .

I'll be on my VFR (hope that's not a lynching offence still) as a cager took away my Gen 1.

Look forward to meeting you all tomorrow.  :lol

One of my many pleasures away from biking is watching a good film. Last night I watched a film called Flight, I knew nothing about film other than it starred Denzil Washington. You can't beat a Denzil film and was not disappointed.
Enjoyed it from start to finish, especially the start!(Bet Denzil did too)

So I have a question to all you film buffs/needs in foccerland.....

Has Denzil Washington ever made a crap film?         :lurk

Events, Meets, Ride outs etc / Re: Bikesafe - Leicester - 06/04/2013

Did this course last year and recommend it highly. Start at Enderby and once the videos are out of the way head out on to the Leicestershire roads for about 4 hours with frequent stops to pass on some good advice.

Pack lunch included.

The copper says keep to the speed limits on single carriageways but on the duals and m-ways we WILL be the fastest things on there, and we where.
He even videos your riding for you.(Got to be the dullest dvd I've got.) :z

Enjoy.

« on: 10 March 2013, 11:21:25 am »
Hl everyone. Me and a mate are catching the ferry to santander in may arriving early evening. Though there are lots of places to stay l'm more concerned for the security of the bikes. I'm sure many of you guys have done the same trip so if anyone knows or can reccomend a cheap place in or around santander just for one night I'd be well chuffed. Cheers

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Never Mind The Bollocks!

Large steel plates do a good job of spreading the load Chris and I'm sure they look very nice on your dads drive way.
But I wouldn't like to walk and push my bike on them on a wet or frosty morning. :eek

Trying to maintain a 50 year old cracked concrete slab is the same as flogging a dead horse, very frustrating.
The biggest enemy of concrete is water and freezing weather. Water gets into the cracks, freezes, expands, and your left with a hole full small rubble.

Cure. Rip it all out. :eek
Get rid of all top soil, put in a sub-base of 150mm of compacted mill waste, lay a minimum 100mm (150mm ideal) with some reinforcing. Put a small gradient in the concrete towards a drain to stop the puddles. If it is a large area your concreting, put in a movement joint because over the years the sub-base WILL move.

If can't be arsed to do all that get someone else to do it. Failing that carry on repairing like rjd1 suggests but be aware larger repairs last better than smaller ones (that's why the council dig up half the road for a small hole) and never use fairy liquid. :thumbup

SOLD

Many thanks to Gaz and to those who showed an interest. :thumbup

Come on you gen 1foccers, surely someone could do with a Givi mono key rack. OK I admit the box is a bit old but the rack is sound.

Do you ever ride the wonderful Mkt Harborough to Melton road? If so I'm just 10mins away

Ever go to Ashby Folville on the 2nd Tuesday? Just 5 min away.

It's in the way in my garage at the mo, so come on over and haggle in a 'Life of Brian' style :lol

The missus asked a very similar question. :uhuh
