As fazerjake say's blip the throttle on the way down makes all the difference, and use the gears to adjust your speed utilising engine braking, I can't think of a time when I would want to go down 6th to 1st in one go, saying that though last bike had a gear indicator on it ,I'm always forgetting what gear I'm in and trying to pull off in too high a gear...

I think you are only looking for a full rotation ,as said it's not expected to roll continually, pump the pistons out gently ,use a piece of wood to stop them popping out totally and use an old or new stiff tooth brush and brake cleaner to scrub all around piston and seal.I have found when they are clean and free you can push them back in by hand(open resevoir top to let pressure off) Brian

Thanks Fazersharp. I've just looked and for some reason I do have a bit of parafin in the cupboard under the sink. The wife says it was for the fondue set we used to use........anyway, will give it a go.
Cheers.
DS
Bet the Fondue tasted/smelt nice using paraffin as fuel ....it wouldn't be meths under the kitchen sink would it?

Help please I need a touch more height so thinking jack up kit
can they be replaced as in one pair off new ones on or will suspension compress/extend ???really don't want to get into silly problems
I once removed crash bars to paint off a BMW GS only to find they would not go back on because the bolts where holding the engine up had to jack the engine up bit of a panick at the time
thanks in advance

is it a solid badge.....if so gentle prising evenly all round with a craft knife or small screw driver should get it off. to replace use specific double side sticky rubber or just a few blobs of a two pack glue.
if its a transfer .... buy new ones they will not go back on...to remove transfer/vinyl decal heat gently with hot air gun/haidryer pick with craft knife at 1 corner as flat as possible peel back on itself warming as you go do not just pull up it will just tear and means longer job
to apply new decal clean area and dry totally use a bit of masking tape to hold it where you want it imagine tape as a hinge dampen area with soapy water lift decal and start to peel backing off half way start to position decal and smooth move down smothing with dry cloth damp will allow you to reposition and will evaporate away

Two bedroom pods, 4 person or just use one and have loads of room for your bike gear etc. Brand new never been used I bought it and then won an auction for a standing height tent ,so it has to go to make room. Fits easily on back of the bike
£55.00 posted OR £45 I will meet up within 20 mile radius of chester
paypal gift

yes you are right, Just put a pair of 2002 onwards on my 2001,massive difference can see all behind you ,they also fold if you need to when putting the bike away, decent quality and good price quick delivery from a german company Louis detlev search on this site for his details. they vibrate slightly at around 95mph but how often is that!
