Thanks to Sinto for the expertise with the photos of the kit.  Hope they are helpful, let me know if you have any questions, please.

Thanks to Nickodemon for your explanation re attachments.  I'll try this next time I sell anything.

You may well be right, slappy. They were in one of the cases when I opened it, so I didn't look around the bike for where else they might fit.

So, I now have descriptions over 2 or 3 posts, and the photos, of the cases for sale. £50 all-in, and they are yours!

Thanks.

Billgee

Hello, again.  Thanks for your help, sinto.

The photos were taken with my camera, (did I mention that I'm not very good with my smartphone either - although I can make calls with it given enough time?!).

I uploaded them to the PC, onto the Windows photo gallery, where they now reside each with their own unique address.  It seems as though I can copy them onto my posts via the 'insert image' button, where they resemble little blue rectangles at the end of the message.

I click on 'post' and, before the text disappears, the rectangles do.  They don't make it to the column.

I'm familiar with the 'attachments' button for a normal email, and can add photos to those ok.  But I can't see the button around here anywhere.

Wisdom awaited, please.

Billgee.

Ok - but where do I find the 'attachments' button?  I can't see it anywhere.

Well, I thought that I had added four photos to my earlier post, but again they disappeared when I sent the post to the board.

For each one, I clicked on 'Insert Image', a box came up saying 'enter image location', so I did that.  Four small rectangles appeared, one by one, on the post.  I submitted the post and, from what I can see on it now, the photos have disappeared.

What am I doing wrong?  The images are stored in the Windows photo gallery, having been taken by my camera, and each ones individual reference or address I input onto the post when prompted.  As soon as I clicked on submit, the rectangles disappeared. I am the first to accept that I am not very good on computers, and I can't fathom this out.  Would a more computer-literate member of the team please assist (again!).  Thank you, Sinto, for your help in your last post.  I did click on 'modify' and that had the same effect as clicking on 'insert image'.

Thanks
Billgee.

Thanks for the guidance, men, I (hopefully) include some photos of the cases.  Some angles were difficult because the silver finish on the exterior of the cases reflected back the flash, but I think they give a reasonable view.

You can see from the picture on the front of the 'Mounting instructions' perhaps, that they do also fit the FJR.  But I can't see the name 'Krauser' anywhere, so I'm not sure, Millietant.

These cases are big enough to take a crash-helmet, and can carry up to a maximum load per case of 10kgs.  Each has a single key locking system, so there are two keys with the set.  There is also a spare lock unit, with which the supplied keys will work.

Also, 4 small bolts. I don't know what they are for, but as the cases work without them, I assume they were originally on the bike and were replaced by bolts from the fitting kit.

Two plastic parts go with the cases and are also, I assume, taken off the bike and replaced by the fitting kit.

I can see 3 on one case, and 4 on the other, tiny blemishes, but they won't photograph as they are too small to show up on the silver finish.  There are no large obvious marks.  The Yamaha badge on one case has what looks like a very thin line of white  paint on part of it.  The badge itself is soft, glossy plastic so I haven't tried to remove it with white spirit or thinners in case I damage the surface.  When the cases are on the bike, no-one will notice these marks, and from a yard away they are invisible.

Let me know if you need anymore info, please.

Oh, dear.  Using the 'Insert Image' button on the panel above the ad wording box, I imported 10 photos, (I thought!).  Now they seem to have disappeared from the 'preview' and this post.  How do I get the photos in the ad, please someone?

Thanks, Billgee.

Thanks for your guidance.  I've put four photos on now, hopefully.  I noticed also that the name Yamaha is imprinted on the inside of the case walls.

Thanks for that comment.  I'll photograph them with the installation handbook.  I don't understand your note about who made them.  They are branded Yamaha, they have a Yamaha handbook with them, there is no sign of any other manufacturers name anywhere on them.  And not proof, of course, but every other touring extra fitted to the bike, touring windscreen, fairings, etc, were genuine Yamaha. What else can I do to establish provenence to your satisfaction?

More photos/details to follow.

THESE CASES NOW WITHDRAWN FROM SALE.  18TH JANUARY 2016

(I don't know how to delete the advert).

I bought a Fazer 1000 FS1 2007 4 years ago, a beautiful bike fully fitted-out for touring, and including the two, large side-cases.  I didn't use the cases at all as I did no touring.  A year later I had an accident which unfortunately wrote-off the bike.  I don't now think that I will be replacing the Fazer, so the cases are for sale.

They are in very good condition having had very little use, and kept by me in boxes well-wrapped up.  Finished in silver, with key-operated locks.  I don't have the brackets which fitted on the bike, and which the cases clip on to, as they were damaged and went with the bike when it was taken away.

The cases cost £300 each when new the local Yam dealer tells me, and I'm selling both together for the best offer over £50.

I live in Nottingham and, due to the size of each case, you might be better off collecting them. They could go by courier, if you are not local, at your own cost.

Fazer 1000 / Hard luggage - Side cases for FZ1S for sale.

I bought a second-hand 2007 Fazer1000 4 years ago, fully kitted out for touring.  I stored the two hard side-cases until I needed them, but had an unfortunate accident which wrote-off the beautiful bike one year later.

The cases are still in my storage packing and, as I now don't think that the Fazer will be replaced, I might as well pass them on.  They are in very good condition, hardly ever having been used by the look of them, in silver.  Each is complete with a key-operated lock.

The buyer will have to source the brackets that bolt on the bike and onto which the cases clip, as the originals were, of course, on the bike and were damaged beyond further use.

I believe that these cases cost £300 each when new, with the bike brackets at an additional cost, as they are genuine Yamaha parts.

If you think that you could use them, then please make me an offer over £50 and they are yours.  I live in Nottingham and the cases will have to be picked up by the buyer as they are far too bulky to go through the post.
