Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / another oil light problem
« on: 17 February 2016, 09:05:28 am »
My dreaded oil light keeps coming on with in a couple of minutes of starting be riding down the road sometimes it goes of and I don't see it and other times it won't go off its doing my head in :'(

Right I have read other posts on here about the level so she is topped right up the oil is fresh and clean and I have also checked the oil pump is working by checking the oil gallery bolt and all seems good there.

Any ideas peeps pretty please :D

« on: 12 July 2014, 04:32:20 pm »

bike runs sweet as a nut mate can't fault it strange thing was after a while on a little run out the fuel gauge went through The roof and after a few miles went back to normal strange one I will pull it apart and take a look

How does the bike run though Mark?....

Maybe while you're down there have a look at your air filter, take it out and make sure it isn't covered in fuel.

FZS600 Fazer / fuel tank pressure
« on: 12 July 2014, 09:51:27 am »
Right I have fixed my bike since that lovely tractor pulled out on me :eek me

But now it the fuel tank seems to get lots I mean lots of pressure in it and even the fuel gauge Goes through the roof and if I open my tank air and petrol flies out  :'(

So of course in the accident the bike was on its side but not for long and it was driven home I haven't had to have the tank off so the breather pipes haven't been touched for me to kink them ,

Any gurus here with the answer  :rolleyes

Thanks in advance

P.s it's a 99 boxeye if that makes a blind bit of difference and the bike seems to be running fine

« on: 23 June 2014, 05:50:51 am »
Right had a tractor and trailer pull out on me gotta love tractors :eek tractors so as ya can guess my fzs 600 1999 came of worse than he did so I gotta get her back to good so far I have found that I could do.with the following if foccers have any,

Right side mirror dead could do with both
Front brake lever snapped I presume shortly after my hand did  :rolleyes
Pillion foot peg right hand side the exhaust hanger was ripped off it
The magnito engine cover is badly scratched :\ About the same time as my rib cracked  :rollin
And front fairing is badly scuffed and it's cracked that's the cherry red fastest colour :'(

I think that's about it for now guess I will find and if there is anything else wrong as I go along so if anyone has any of the above Iitems give me a shout I would be most grateful.
