Lets hope more countries follow suit, but I very much doubt it.

Every convicted ISIS member being held in a country that still is sensible enough to carry out the death penalty must be crapping themselves. Call me a savage, seeing as oil is cheap, lets do like for like burn the bastards. Well done Jordan

It's about time someone grew a pair and stood up to these scumf**ks.

This planet needs to eradicated of these extremist psychopaths.

Fed up hearing these hemp wearing flag burners banging on about human rights pish. When you behave like an animal, you waiver your human rights as far as I'm concerned. Maybe if the hippies were getting shot at or set on fire they also would like to see ISIS being wiped out.
Not quite sure what to do with my early mid-life crisis. Ideas on a post card to P.O.BOX 150...

Haha actually lol'd at these comments. ..

Radio 2 was discussing this the other day and they was talking about it been said to ban all media reporting on terrorist action ..
It obviously wouldn't be an easy process, but was done back in the IRA/Thatcher days  ... Things these days wouldn't be quite so simple but it could work ...
Think it would actually make any difference though? ? I myself doubt it very much !!

Perhaps we should start hanging all these would be Jihadists that are either leaving or returning to the Midlands from their terrorist training camp (or as they call it holiday in Turkey).

You should read up a little on Wahhabism Lew.

Our good friends the Saudi's are spreading this ideology around the globe.

So in other words when we do business with Saudi Arabia we are doing business with the people who fund The Taliban, ISIS etc etc.

Then we send our soldiers off to fight and die fighting those we have created or funded.

Chopping off a few heads in Jordan.  Oh yeah that'll sort of em all out - eh?

That's a bit like saying America funded the IRA. Its probably true that some funding came from within America.

At the end of that article you will find this.

In a number of articles in June we made reference to funding for the terrorist organisation Isis having been channelled to the group from Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Embassy has asked us to make clear that the position of the Saudi Arabian government is unequivocal condemnation of the actions of Isis and its members and that the Kingdom has taken positive action to discourage any private funding or support for Isis or other extremists by Saudi citizens for ISIS.  Since March 2014 the Saudi government has blacklisted religious extremist groups in the Kingdom, criminalising affiliation to, or participation in the activities of, organisations such as Isis. (Statement added 23/9/14)

Now whether you believe that is another matter. Have they prosecuted anyone?

ps No sanctions against Saudi Arabia. If they were totally behind IS do you think everyone would still trade with them?

So copied and pasted an article from the Independent. I did not read anything in that article that said the UK is funding ISIS.

VNA, you said maybe the UK should review it's funding of ISIS.
So we trade with Saudi Arabia, we also trade with North Korea, Russia and every other fecker. Sadly it is how the world of business works, I may not like you but I have to trade with you sad but true.

If you are saying that by trading with the Saudi's we are assisting Saudi funding of ISIS then I suppose we are along with every other nation that buys oil from Saudi, so do not just point the finger at the UK and say it is all our fault.

Perfectly okay for Christian Kings to go and massacre Muslims in far off countries during the middle ages and call it a crusade. Or to denounce pagan god, spread rumours about voodoo or depose indigenous people in other places. When will we learn that everyone is as bad as each other, it's just a matter of the historical time line.

I agree that their crimes are abhorrent,  but an eye for an eye simply doesn't work. Nothing seems to, it only makes their resolve stronger. All that will happen is that IS will say they died for the cause and dub them martyrs.

Isis are the guys that throw gays off tall buildings for being gay but say its fine to marry a NINE YEAR OLD girl as well as enslaving Yazidi and Christian minority women after exterminating the men and boys (all of them were unarmed - naturally) it's also ok burning helpless prisoners alive in addition to beheading a volunteer aid worker just because he was a white christian.  Religious Nazis can be negotiated with........  They need stopping - NOW.  Hope the Jordanians take no prisoners.

One word Phil - No.

I would ask you this, seeing as Isis have millions, many many millions, well they are cash rich, you might want to consider where that money is coming from.  A simple google search will give you some clues.  They are seriously well funded.    And I think you will find that it is our allies that fund ISIS.

ISIS are doing the running here, and they have plenty of funding.  Totally agree risticuss.

Jordan needed to ask - what does ISIS want us to do - how do they wish us to react.  I would suggest that Jordan reacted and acted exactly as ISIS wished them to.

Religious Nazis can be negotiated with........

I feel a Godwin's law moment may almost be upon us.  But fazed I think that was attempted, failed and 5 million Jews were exterminated along with disable folks, Roma, gays and others, not to mention a word war.

Lew,

I don't think you will find many journalists with a better understanding of the Middle East than Robert Fisk.  Patrick Cockburn (who also writes for the Indy) is another.  To my surprise newsnight last night had Patrick on to discuss ISIS.

You stated the UK needs to review it's funding, implying the UK Goverment openly fund ISIS then you post a quote from a newspaper as your proof.
I assume you do realise that these ISIS guys will quite happily chop your head off for absolutly no reason at all. They are not playing with a full deck.
Heaven forbid if they actually comit an atrocity in Israel, Jordan has responded and acted basically you do 1 of ours we will do 2 of yours. If they hit the Israel hard stand by for Gulf war 3 because the Israelis will not fanny about.
