Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere but I just found myself trying to navigate St Georges Circus and Elephant & Castle in London for the first time today in a few months.. What the thundering f*ck?? Is it meant be safer for cyclists? I can't see anyone benefiting, even pedastrians looked suddenly at more risk..

Greetings. You're just down the road from me - will you be on the A2 heading in to London every morning as well?

When I did BikeSafe a few years back Mr Policeman said filtering 'up to 40ish', meaning the traffic you were filtering through was doing no more than 40 - beyond that you were starting to take the piss a little, although he didn't come out with a definitive speed for 'taking the piss', I suspect, because there isn't one so it'll be down to the judgement of any copper who sees you. On my commute home from Central London to North Kent I often see police bikes filtering at those sort of speeds - sometimes faster.

So what happened after that? Did somebody stick one on the driver? I would have.

Ballcraine Corner to Kirk Michael, if you can get a clear run, is amazing.. I was there for the classic last year and, sadly, it had been speed restricted to 40 most of the way - a lot of the circuit has now unfortunately.

'They' do the same in the bike bay at work. Numpties!
Yes, we have the same problem at work.
Yup, same problem here - usually scooters though.

Don't they look awesome? How high are they flying there? They were around 150m over my garden - just incredible. Lancaster pair.

..to the man who gave me a foccer salute as I headed in to Liverpool yesterday late afternoon on my way to the Isle of Man - I did try and return it but I nearly ran in to the car in front of me. Just didn't want you to think I was being rude.. S

Eight Merlins indeed! I was in the garage fiddling with the bike when I heard them - we get lot of aircraft flying around as there are a fair few flying schools in the area but, as you can imagine, these sounded different... I stepped out just in time to watch them sweep by. Mouth open, speechless. I knew the Canadian one was in the UK I just didn't expect them to fly over my garden - and so low too! Incredible. Imagine what 50 would have sounded like on their way to Germany? Probably right over my garden then as well?

I'm having the same issue - it's also struggling, only a little mind, through the lower revs. Bike hasn't been used for a few months.
