 Well here goes. Went to work yesteday and engine felt wee bit rough. Felt like chain needed tightening, but had been done previous week. Finished work, fired bike up ,, no problems,, into first and off i go,,  ,,,, felt like engine sprocket had came loose. Very slow acceleration , noise still there going up gears. Cruising at 50 ish and felt ok. Stop at junction,, oh no problems going down gears,, pulled away and felt like someting grinding,, only under pressure. So far,, no play in rear wheel,, chain ok,, engine sprocket ok,, upgrade done on that some time ago. Tickover no noise. Goes through gears ok. Thats as far as time will allow me till week end. Oh high millage on engine. And clutch done last year. Any ideas very welcome. Wont get time now till sunday , but suggestion will be greatfull and followed. Off to work, on four wheels   . oh,, couldnt tell which side noise coming from.

Well had a wee spill
, And fairing got it. So decided to fix,, how ,,, lot of head scratching ,,, a bin. Hope these pics work.

Just a wee share. Finished work about half 2 in morning. Went to bike and flat rear,, punctured  . Bit of pulling faces ,, 18 miles to home. Mixture of "A" and "B" roads , couple of junctions and roundabouts. Will it stay on rim ,, time to try.  and with a wee wibble and wobble  and trying to go in as straight a line as possible ,, max speed around 25mph , made it home and still on the rim . . Michelin Pilot 4,,, run flat tyres ,, YEP.

Soz , its a bit late but ive been doing a lot of head scratching  . Ive just spent 3 days putting a new cam chain in,, around 75000 on old one so new one needed. No adjustment left on tensioner. All seemed ok. Running in shed ,, didnt rev to much in shed as i wanted all engine parts to settle and oil to flow round. Then off for wee run. Out of drive and i noticed shutting off throttle and the revs were'nt dropping too quick. Not sticking open , just coming down slowly. Just a short run and still the same at the end. But i never touched the carbs,,, just took them off,,, and put them back on. Yep cables were off but when i put them on i checked the throttle and it was'nt sticking just usual nice spring back when you let go. And again after run ,, throttle just snaps back but revs come down slow. any ideas, cause i confuzzed

This is something that came with the bike and i have sort of got used too,, but always been thinking about. And now something in [size=0px]Dman2019[/size][/color]'s clutch change topic has got me thinking again. Symptoms, a judder felt when taking slow junctions. One i take quite often is , off a main road , turning right ,into a small rise and sort of back on yourself again. Solution , a touch of rear brake and no judder .. It can happen on any slow junction and i have just learned to live with touch the rear brake gently and no judder. Nothing has ever changed it , for example new cush drive rubbers, new chain and sprockets, new rear wheel bearings, new clutch cable. Rear swing arm has no play but havent done that yet. But,,, back to [/size][size=0px]Dman2019[/size]'s topic. It mentions a JUDDER SPRING [/size][size=78%],,, mmm,,,, judder[/size] [/size][size=78%] ,,, well thats what im feeling,,, so any ideas.[/size]  This isnt urgent, as ive got used to it. But if i have spare time or even just serviceing the old bike , do you think it would be worth a wee look. Any suggestions welcome.

This is more of a request on behalf of my daughter who lives down in Kent. She had a hit and run yesterday morning by a blue van on the A2. Luckly she just a bit bruised and sore, not too sure on bike damage yet but helmet is a right off. I don't know if there are an members down that way or maybe use the A2 to London . It was near Cobham exit about 07.30. Trying to get vans reg number but nothing showing up yet. Or if any members know someone in that area. Any help appreciated.

This is only way I can describe this. Any gear when applying throttle, all I can hear and slightly feel is CLUNK , CLUNK ,CLUNK !! !. Clutch in and free wheel - no clunk. The clunk is getting slowly louder, don't know how long it would last before Clunk goes to Crunch !!. When just sitting ticking over all is ok, just when you are moving creates the Clunk. Any ideas on where to start looking welcome and will be big help. My problem too, is time, if this is strip engine, could be long fix. Oh, if just sitting and first gear, front brake on, slowly let clutch out , will pull no problems with no Clunk, only when moving does the clunk start. Peeved as it great day for run. . Oh, 2001 FZS 600 with just over 64 thousand on clock.

My side light and tail lights have stopped working. First stop, fuse . All fuses working . Bulbs , all working . So power. This part im not too good with but I try . Handlebar and all connectors seem all ok. With ignition on power going to switch and coming back out. So here is where I get lost . Does the power now go to the relay in behind left hand cover and if it does how easy is it to check the relay. Any help with will be great . I may not be on due to work for couple of day and will miss my bike . Any help much appreciated.

Saturday morning about 4am, finished work , onto bike , flat battery. So bump start. Took a couple of attempts but she started. Then two miles in journey , she just died slowly and wouldn't start . So call out and lift home. Took battery of and straight on charger with it.
Later on Saturday , checked as much of wiring as I could , didn't find anything, so battery back on,,,, and started. Charging ok, up to 14v on quick blip of throttle. Let her run and played with wiring to see if any change in meter readings. No change. Took her for short run , still no change.
So Sunday, checked battery to see if there had been any drop overnight, none , still reading 12.8v. Started and still charging ok. So off for a run, with everything on, Lights including spots, heated grips. She ran as usual and when I stopped was reading at just over 13v.
So Monday. Off to work, night driver. She sits out all night. And still charged.
My first thought was stator gone, the way she died on Saturday, but has been charging ok since that.
Any thoughts welcome as RAC might charge me if it happens again. OH might not get back on here for few days due to work.

Had wee Fazer since last September. Its had a few problems, but still going. Engines a wee bit rough , but apparently by what ive read so far on this site that seems normal , so ill keep her ticking over. Ill try adding a pic , and then post and see what happens. Will also say that since owning My wee bike this forum has been very helpful.
