Prefer slightly higher mileage for a lower price? Not local to you but even for the cost of a single train ticket plus the fuel home, this looks like a good un! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-FAZER-1000-FZS1000-FZ1-2002-SILVER-EXCELLENT-CONDITION-/200783049155?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item2ebf9a31c3

LOL...  :lol :lol :D ;) ... but it is an excellent choice....!!   8)

I have a mag trainer.. do about 45 mins to an hour most nights, 20 miles... cost me $50 from ebay... hardly used ... LOL

I do sets to break up the boredom..

10 mins warm up
Then vary resistance...

2 mins on one... 1 min on zero
2 mins on two... 1 min on zero
etc upto res 5

then repeat or go backwards down the scale

or vary cadence..
10 mins warm up
then choose a high gear (i go highest)
2 mins at 25 mph (or whatever speed gets yr heartrate into "fat burn" or "fitness"  zone
lower gear
1 min at 20 mph
higher gear
2 mins at 25 mph
lower gear
1 min at 20 mph

etc...

You must vary daily.. i do "power days" when i simulate climbing hills.. low gear high res and "distance days" with high gears and high speed... i might climb only 10 to 15 miles in an hour or ride 22-25 miles in an hour on distance days..

Love my Turbo trainer for winter days... no fun battling against the winds, the rain and moronic car drivers... although every fairly dry, sunny day i have my favourite climbing and distance circuits which i know will take me an hour or so...

I do loads of charity rides for Marie Curie Cancer and the British Heart Foundation coz my company matches any amount i raise.. so if i can get together #400 they will give me #400 for the charity... win win..

Definately get a fan to create a breeze or you will burn up or drip gallons of sweat all over your bike... or get a thong.. LOL look up bike thong on ebay..

Get one you will enjoy it indoors.. but do get out when you can...

My two pennith anyway...

Hi...
Just came back from the IOM and i think i found the limits on my (never serviced in 50k) standard suspension...
Was wondering... how did you find the ride with these on? are they worth the pennies? essentially a 1/4 of my rides value?
I used to have R1's and ZX9's i few years back and could get them really dialled in... still want something sporty to keep up with my friends and bought the Faz to save my old back and arse .. and as we know the suspension is limited... I have Devilsyam rear R6 shock which did make a huge difference to what was on there..
So did you find them worth while? and why have you taken them off?? i also see they are on evilbay (for less)..??
Am really interested in these and also the others that are on sale on here as well... just need to justify the outlay... LOL
Cheers.... Colin

Hey Justy..

I have the V8 version and fitted it 3 or 4 weeks ago without the speed healer... i run a 16t/47t setup... i used my phone with a GPS speedo app and it was well out so refitted with the resistor and orange wire and PCB cut then set up the version 8 by one of the very useful pages (Speedo output factor) .. value 1 = standard 16/44, then there are option covering many of the ratios.. 15/45, 15/47, 16/45, 16/46 etc... set mine to 0.95 (i think).. used my Phone app again now my speedo reads 1 mph over the true speed so.. when doing 60 on speedo .. true is 59... and it works right across the range... i also set the speedo in the V8 as well to the same value so when i am on the screen that display speed and max revs it show the true speed as well... awesome bit of kit

As said, if you running standard you do not need to solder in the orange wire or the resistor...

I love V8 it is so configureable... set it up exactly as you want it... Christian is a genius.. !!!

How to use instructions here...

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Fazer Carburettor Jets Blocked
« on: 20 February 2012, 07:56:42 pm »

Feck that...; buy new jets .. only a couple of quid...

http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/Yamaha/FZS_1000_Fazer/01-03/

Go down the page to "Fuel" section... then "Carbrettor main jet" choose your size and away you go..

You will have to ask someone more knowledgeable than me for the main jet size of Fazer 600 though...
