Chinese Hurrymoon

A young Chinese couple get married.

She's a virgin. Truth be told, he is a virgin too, but she doesn't
 know that.
On their wedding night, she cowers naked under the sheets as her
husband undresses in the darkness. He climbs into bed next to her and
 tries to be reassuring.

"My darring," he whispers, "I know dis you firss time and you berry
frighten. I pomise you, I give you anyting you want, I do anyting
 juss
anyting you want. You juss ask.
Whatchu want?" he says, trying to sound experienced and worldly,
 which
 he hopes will impress her.

A thoughtful silence follows and he waits patiently and eagerly for
 her
 request.
She eventually shyly whispers back, "I want to try someting I have
heard about from other girls... Nummaa 69."
More thoughtful silence but this time from him. Eventually, in a
 puzzled tone he asks her..

 "You want... Garlic
  Chicken with corrifrowa?"

hi all
one of my work colleagues has had a bump in his car and was found to be over the limit by the plod.
needless to say this will come up in court.
is there any where i can find out what cases are coming up in the courts to see when his trial date is as he is being (understandably) quiet ?
thanks

we all have had some degree of layoff for personal reasons. I know how much pleasure ( and pain) a bike can bring. I am glad I kept going. Have had some incredible rides and experiences in last 15 yrs, which I would not trade for the world.
I think there is a novelty with bikes for sure, and maybe I have got through all the " firsts" eg first trackday, first kneedown, first foreign tour, tec. But feel now I am just enjoying being on my bike for the " freedom" and easy performance it brings.Nothing can explain just why wew rid ebikes I am sure, but I am happy every time I swing the leg over even if its just a quick local ride.

Hang up ur leathers if it suits, but dont write off ones biking career for an isolated incident.
so true
definitely won't be the last time i ride, just not right to do so now.
might even try and get back into motocross  ;)

no worries all :)
my life was in a very different (and dark) place when i got the bike and i used it as an escape from reality.
i am in a hugely better place now and i used the bike as a toy and "because it was there".
it won't stop me for long, just long enough to make sure the kids are sorted and the g/f is well provided for should the worst happen.
if i get the chance i'll have another quick blast before hanging the leathers up.
and yes, i'll still be lurking on here  :D

« on: 20 August 2013, 01:40:18 pm »
hi all
after my crash i have been doing some serious thinking about whether to get another bike or not.
i was very lucky in my accident not to break or seriously damage anything (except the bike which will be written off)  :'( .
when i first got my bike i was single, but now i have a girlfriend with 2 children and i saw how much my "off" affected her (and to some degree it still is).
as such, i don't think i could put her through something similar (or worse) so it is with a heavy heart that my leathers will be hung up, at least for a while.
ride safe all.

General / motovlogger doing english vs americanisms
« on: 06 August 2013, 03:04:32 pm »
some time back i can remember seeing a motovlog where a biker was explaining some of the differences between the meanings of words in english and american.
have been trying to find it to show the boss, but can't find it  :(
he did a later one on english vs yorkshire ways of saying things.
if anyone can help me find this i would be really grateful as it is soooooo annoying !
thanks :)

i can't remember a thing from just before hitting the fence, but when i came to (felt like i had been dreaming) i had taken my rucksack off, my gloves off, jacket and helmet too. I'd also been over to the bike and turned the key off and hit the kill switch!
big thanks must go to the 2 cyclists who called 999 for me and the paramedics who were great guys!
was laughing and joking with them most of the time in the ambulance.
when i winced once, one of them told me jokingly to "grow a pair"!  :rollin
and what a star my girlfirend was.
came to the scene and stayed with me the whole time in hospital.
even drove me home - 40 miles out of her way!

General / A.A.A.D.D - Know the Symptoms !
« on: 06 August 2013, 09:58:09 am »
Thank goodness there's a name for this disorder. Age-Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.

This is how it manifests itself: I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing. As I start toward the garage, I notice letters on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys on the table,  Put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, then notice that the can is full. So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first... But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first.

I take my cheque book off the table, and see that there is only one cheque left. My extra cheques are
in my desk in the study, So I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Pepsi I'd been
drinking. I'm going to look for my cheques, but first I need to push the Pepsi aside So that I don't accidentally knock it over.

The Pepsi is getting warm, so I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold. As I head toward the kitchen with the Pepsi, A vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need water.
I put the Pepsi on the counter and discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote on the kitchen table. I realise that tonight when we go to watch TV, I'll be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers.

I pour some water on the flowers, but spill some on the floor. So, I set the remote back on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill. then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day: The car isn't washed, the bills aren't paid, there is a warm can of Pepsi sitting on the counter, the flowers don't have enough water, there is still only 1 cheque in my cheque book, I can't find the remote, I can't find my glasses, and I don't remember what I did with the car keys. Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today,  I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day, and I'm really tired.

I realise this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail....

Do me a favour. forward this message to everyone you know, because I don't remember who I've sent it to.

Don't laugh -- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!

P.S. I don't remember who sent it to me, so if it was you, I'm sorry.

General / I Crashed !
« on: 06 August 2013, 08:45:13 am »
well folks, on saturday evening i crashed !  :'(

was doing about 50 - 60 and lost control on a bend (maybe diesel ?), went through a hedge with a fence in it and ended up in a corn field.

looks like the bike is a write off, but still waiting to hear from the insurance company.

i was very, very, very lucky !

no broken bones at all.

the only thing i have is a very sore chest and a rather swollen right hand.

had yesterday off work to get to the doctors for some pills and advice, and get the insurance company boosted up, but back at work today on a "light duties" order from the doctors.

fortunately the boss is a biker too so he understands :)

ride safe all

A highly dangerous virus called "Weekly Overload Recreational Killer" (WORK) is currently going around.
If you come into contact with this WORK virus, you should immediately go to the nearest "Biological Anxiety Relief" (BAR) centre to take antidotes known as "Work Isolating Neutralizer Extract" (WINE), "Radioactive UnWORK Medicine" (RUM), "Bothersome Employer Elimination Rebooter" (BEER) or "Vaccine Official Depression Killing Antigen" (VODKA).

Worth a read just for fun value  :lol

made me chuckle :)
on a side note, when i used to do fuel deliveries, several farmers would ask that i put 200 litres of kerosene into 800 litres of red diesel (gas oil) for winter use to make the engine run hotter !

thanks for the replies :)
i am currently 39, and in east yorkshire (bridlington) but planning to move closer to Hull for family reasons.
i enjoy working with computers too (build, upgrade and repair mine) and don't mind getting my hands dirty (grew up on a farm).
done various jobs since leaving finance (about 10 years ago) like driving a tanker lorry, felling trees, bricklaying, etc.
had thought about plumbing / electrician etc. as i am fairly handy on that front.
im really just after something more interesting than moving boxes about !  :rolleyes

General / Career Advice Please
« on: 01 August 2013, 10:19:33 am »
hi all,
i'm in a bit of a quandry workwise and wondered if anyone can give me a few pointers, tips, etc....
i am a qualified accountant, but working in a warehouse as i can't get a finance job :(
having said that, it doesn't really bother me that i can't get back into finance (although i'm still trying).
the big problem is i can't stand the job i'm in!
it's an easy job, but i get no satisfaction from it.
been toying with the idea of doing more of a repairing / fixing / mending / making type job as i love to tinker with things and get them working (anything).
currently looking at doing an evening class in september, but i really don't know what.
can anyone give me some job types that i can look into a bit more please ?
many thanks :)
