My dash is gone, nothing is displayed on the dash only the blue light is on. Will a S2 dash fit as a bolt on? Found that someone opened the dash and had to be cut apart to brake into

Hi ... Early R1 gear change lever won't fit a Fazer 1000 which is a shame as it's a better design, upper shift arm will fit giving a shorter lever throw. Fazer 1000 lever shift throw is small so don't see the point, tried an R1 shift arm on mine, didn't rate it, felt too wooden like it'd not shifted a gear, hence still have an as new unit in the garage in a sealed bag. Link rod will foul the frame so will need persuading a bit.
Shift arm was quite pricey new (no longer available) & rose joint was extra, combined would have cost around £140 new, so expect to pay a good wedge for a good used unit. Rarely see em for sale.
Found the arm for 15 euro, I think it's a good deal

Ivans kit is flawless, everything is so much smother, no more bogging at 3k rpm, runing a 4 degree advancer and modified air filter cover

I am sad to here this news what a shame followed his build of his bike with high interest, also still think of marchride who passed a while back now.
Unfortunately for the Fazer comunity, he took the long trip to Heaven. Any link with his selling bike? [Edited to fix dodgy formatting - GrahamM: Moderator]

BMW S1000RR rear shock till 2014. After 2014 they did electronic rear shock, so that's no good for the Fazer

I recomend Delkevic. Their products are tested for every bike on the Dyno, so they are build specificaly for the bike
My first choice was a Delkevic but the damn thing didn't fit. Contacted them and got nothing but attitude; implying it was my fault. As if it's difficult to fit an end can and I haven't been spannering for 40+ years! Anyway, eventually got my money back and went for a Mivv GP titanium. Perfect fit and finish. Proves once again....buy cheap buy twice.
No problems with mine, was bolt on, took me 10 minutes to install
