FZS600 Fazer / sidestand cut out.
« on: 06 November 2014, 03:34:14 pm »
Hiya.  My sidestand cut out has stopped working. Thinking it must be the switch I got a second hand one on ebay which apparently is in good working order.  Plugged it in to test it and still no good. Any tests I could do or could it be the cut out relay behind the left hand side panel ? Cheers.

FZS600 Fazer / T30 vs BT023
« on: 17 August 2014, 09:42:32 am »
Hi there just thought id share this little piece of information with you.  My previous set of tyres were Bridgestone T30's. Great grip....mileage 10000 front...10500 rear. Thought it strange that front wore out first so went back to my tried and trusted 023's. Grip not quite as good as the t30s but still very good. Mileage front on 12000 and still going strong. ....rear...16000. Thats some mileage difference.  I know what tyres ill be staying on. Cheers all

FZS600 Fazer / Binding front brakes
« on: 27 April 2014, 02:07:38 pm »
Hi there. The front brakes on my foxy have just started binding slightly....not badly mind but the disc gets slightly warm to the touch even when ive tested it by riding for a few miles only using the rear. I've done the obvious of thoroughly cleaning the pistons and they all move freely using finger pressure which is why this is a headscratcher. I wouldn't have thought the seals would need replacing as the bike has only covered 20k. Any light shone in my general direction would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

FZS600 Fazer / Bent bars.
« on: 03 April 2014, 07:00:47 pm »
Hi there. The previous owner of my foxeye dropped it and I think the bars are bent a little. I'll probably get some Renthals so was just wondering which ones are the closest to the originals in terms of riding position ? Cheers :)

FZS600 Fazer / Rough throttle low down
« on: 03 April 2014, 06:57:27 pm »
Hi there. My foxeye has a really snatchy and jerky response when on only a whiff of throttle, say when your trundling along in traffic. Open it up a bit and it's fine. Anyone had this problem ? The bike had been sat for a couple of years before I bought her so im thinking maybe the pilot jets need cleaning ? Anyone done this and is it easy or best left to a mechanic ? Thanks.

« on: 04 January 2014, 10:47:38 am »
Hi there. Just about to fit my k an n filter and was wondering if the covered end goes at the top or the bottom.  Haven't looked at the air box yet and I'm sure all will become clear but I just wanted a quick answer before i started. Thanks all.

FZS600 Fazer / Which plug heat range
« on: 30 December 2013, 03:18:58 pm »
Happy new year to you all :) Santa got me a simmi race can for xmas and iv'e got a k and n filter to go with it. Im going to fit some new plugs next service and just wondered whether to fit cr 8 or 9 plugs with the new set up. I'm presuming this will lean off the mixture slightly and maybe run a bit warmer ? Im guessing either would be fine but wondered what more experienced Fazer owners would go for. Cheers  :)

FZS600 Fazer / Front sprocket nut
« on: 09 November 2013, 12:05:10 pm »
Hi all. Regarding the 9mm to 12mm sprocket nut replacement was this a factory recall does anyone know ? Just asked my local yam dealer about it after giving him Reg and frame numbers and he emailed saying there are no recalls on my bike. I'm just trying to get out of taking the sprocket cover off and measuring it unless I really have to. I'm not lazy honest  :)  Cheers.

FZS600 Fazer / oil drain bolt
« on: 05 November 2013, 04:39:30 pm »
Hi there. Im a newbie to Fazers and just changed the oil and filter for the first time on mine as it had sat for 2 years until I bought her. Has anyone out there found a crafty or indeed uncrafty way of getting a socket and a torque wrench on the drain bolt ? I've done it up with engineers feel but would be happier if I could torque it up properly. Thanks.
