I have now Removed the tax disc holder & tax disc,  as it is no longer required.

Yes, after you policed it. 
To be fair there seems to be a certain amount of confusion about the new tax rules.
Some people are saying that if the vehicle was taxed before the changes, you can let it go with the vehicle. others are saying you can't.
Personally I haven't got a clue.

Just bought a little honda advertised with a years tax, couldn't take it, so seller dropped the price ......needs a bit of work so iam going to sorn it.....cant do it on the website without the full log book

I had something similar, tax ran out of a bike I bought. I phoned DVLA and they said new log book about 4 weeks and SORN after that. I was worried because you cant have a space between tax runs out and new tax or SORN but he said it was fine if you have just bought.

there is a form that you can send off with the logbook application that you can apply for sorn.

Let me tell you its a very sad decision to sell the Rex. Had it for 9 years and loved every mile with it.
Just not using it enough so I thought let another person have some fun & that's it really.
Just 800 miles last year.

I've now got a new Suzuki V-Strom 650. And let me say Loving it.

As one gets older one needs a lighter bike, its not much lighter but its more of a change.

The Rex as you know is loaded with Torque & Tours very well.

Its in a very good condition in fact almost Excellent for the year.
Anyone who gets this will not be disappointed..

If it doesn't sell I will obviously keep it and just tax it for the summer.
Insurance for me is very reasonable as two bike policy is only £167. F/C with extras.

Asked at po for a form, listed on dvla website, but was told they are not doing them anymore  ...going to wait for the v5 and sorn it online.......seller wont be able to claim back this months tax so in MY  eyes its still taxed ?..still a few niggles to sort out with this new system...had a nose around works car park all cars still displaying discs...

I don't miss mine glad of the change to be honest zrx was way to uncomfy for me with my knackered knee.....good looking bike but for me to many shortfalls.....good luck with the sale.....
