Women's weakly 1969

Actually I learned that one from Railway Modeller back in the early 1980s when I built my own model layout as a kid :)

It's a quick way to put ballast under the track, you mark out where the track is to go, spread PVA glue on the base board, pin down the track, then just pour the ballast along the length.

Wait for the glue to set and use the J-Cloth trick to vacuum up any that hasn't stuck :thumbup

Now one leg has gone loose.  Found my reading glasses and had a look.  A wee clip on bit has gone astray that keeps the leg in line.
It cannot have gone far.  It must be here.  But can I find the foccing thing.

If you have a vacuum cleaner with hose attachment, put a J-Cloth or similar over the end of the hose, then push the "hard floor" brush (the rectangular one) over the end of it.

Run this over the area where the bit was lost and it will be sucked up into to the tube, but it'll stop at the J-cloth which will let the air through, but not the bit, then switch off, holding the end of the tool over a bowl or similar.

Sorted :thumbup

Either that or the rest of the forum can just sit back and have a giggle :lol

So there I am watching u tube presentations of professors of ancient sumerian cultures and the cuniform tablets. The epic of gilgamesh no less, which leads me to the flood story that pre dates the one in the book - that book. So then I search flood stories and bring up loads - so I filter by most watched. And what comes up with most watched ----- focing Evan Almighty 13M views FFS  :eek -- may as well just drink beer and be stupid.

I've picked up on Joe Rogan's podcast for some interesting discussions: scientists, philosophers, comedians, sportsmen (mostly martial arts with Joe), and not heavily pc like tv stuff. Then I go off and look at some of the podcasts and stuff by Joe's guests. Plenty to keep me thinking. Wouldn't mind finding a good history one though - must have a trawl through.

Jo Brand and that "joke".

If it were a right wing comedian there'd be hell to pay. The hypocrisy of the left is staggering.

You mean a right-wing comedian like Nigel;

Think people have been trying to give you and VNA hints for months now, but you're so both wrapped up in your own warped little worlds that you've simply not acknowledged anything whatsoever.
Good of you to finally admit it though.  :thumbup

I think firstly darrsi you should speak for yourself.

I think at the end of the day, you have made it clear that you are sympathetic to extremist and unsavoury views   You say you dislike political threads yet insist on repeatedly posting insults as you are unable to accept that others may not share your views, and of course insults is all you can manage as you are incapable of any intelligent and reasonable discussion.

Yeah, 'cos you've always been so tolerant of other peoples opinions.
My word, you are so full of yourself it's quite unbelievable.

Yeah, 'cos you've always been so tolerant of other peoples opinions.

If I disagree with another’s opinion, I’ll state why, put forward an argument and make my position clear.

On the other hand you darrsi, can only express outrage that not everybody agrees with you, and being unable to address the substance of any debate you resort to insults and name calling, just as you are doing right now.

You WILL state why, but still totally disregarding whatever anyone else has said.
I don't need to prove my point, you have done it over and over and over again yourself.
