General / Emigrating to NZ
« on: 14 March 2012, 01:22:00 pm »
me & my lady are seriously looking to emigrate to New Zealand in about 18 months / 2 years time.

I know its along time off but i was after anyones advice, more about biking but other opinions welcomed
I have a 02 600 Fazer,
a) should I export it or try and find one out there?
b) are the roads suitable for it? or should I be looking for a different style of bike?

Once a person has to have some one collect and bring them their food it is time for a compulsory diet in my mind. Not for me to pay taxes for nurse maids to make the problem worse.

what about Tesco home delivery? is that under the same banner?  :rollin

some people are house bound for other reasons not just overweight!

just a few thoughts on this story,

what size coffin would he have?
if he is buried will he have a normal size grave? who will dig it & lower him down?
what about the hearse? will that have to be reinforced?
if it is a cremation, will the doors be big enough to fit in an oversized coffin?
will the mechanism be stong enough to handle the extra weight?

I loved the other side of the story. knowing it was spoofed made it just as hilarious as if the comments had been real!

wait until they have finished their 1st rant and suggest that as they are clearly upset by the situation maybe a cup of tea and then you can think clearly of how to assist them. then get them to sit down nearly opposite you. that way you can maintain a bit of distance. when you come back with the bre you can say, i've been thinking of what you just said and i suggest .... what do you think or I been thinking what would you do if you were in my position?

« on: 07 March 2012, 02:23:12 pm »
As a not so experienced rider as some of other posters in this thread & having read through it with great interest I can see that yes he was speeding. not knowing the road I cant comment whether it was "dangerous" but I have to say this and to give him his due, as soon as he was pulled he stopped in a safe controlled way. he didn't try and make a break for it and it wasn't (or didn't appear to be) a full on police chase.

I had to watch that with no sound but is there any commentary from police bike?

General / Re: More traveller grief
« on: 02 March 2012, 08:01:43 am »
i have to agree with Ton13

we have 2 travellers sites just down the road and generally they are ok. and they do tend to police the area as they know any trouble they will be the 1st to be looked at!!

the only thing that annoys me is that at the local school we couldn't get the youngest into class at first as they held 5 spaces open for traveller kids that "might" move into the area. thats when I used my Armed forces trump card and insisted that as the older 2 were already in that school then why should the youngest have to go to the next village school!!

1 question I have is why do all travellers have such strong Irish accents when they must be at least 2 or 3rd generation and have lived in Cornwall all their lives? :rolleyes

I  went to the one in Havant last night and bought a selection of stuff they had on offer. it all looks ok. I'm waiting for a free weekend where I can get out on my bike and use it rather than just the commute to n from work!!

Not saying that I would even contemplate this but some of the rules need careful reading!!
3. Once you have started you are not allowed to stand up, leave your table, or have anyone else TOUCH the meal.
7.  All spectators are diners and must order from the menu
8. You must sit at a table that we assign.

If it were me I would put them at a table that is most uncomfortable to sit at!!

« on: 30 January 2012, 01:04:29 pm »
Ok I just picked up a new car other day and its 1st car I had with front fogs on. I thought I would be dis agreeing with you and saying what the difference using them is, ,,,
however driving home from Cornwall last night tried a little experiment out (in a little bit of snow and then rain and then clear )
to my honest surprise fog lights did not light anything more than exending the edges of the beam (& not by much) yeah full beam did its job but combination of full beam & fog lights didnt make the road any brighter!

I for one now will not be using front fogs as driving lights!

are you on about front fogs been used as "driving lights" or the rear fogs been left on?

well i think its wrong!!
me and my mrs have got 7 kids at home with us and i have to pay maintenance for the other 3 I know about!
only got britney and chardonay at school as the others are either too young to go and the 2 boys wayne and tyson are excluded! we have had to be given a big house with a huge garden so they can ride there quads bikes there as they keep getting arrested when they just pop out on the estate to ride them! I told them if anyone complains send em to me i'll give em what for!!

No I dont drink special brew, well only on special occasions as its well expensive, Lynx is better n cheap!

I cant work cuz i'm on tag but hopefully that will come off before we go to majorca for our all inclusive holiday. and why should i work and get me new white Nike trainers dirty? I never have done cuz why get all that pressure when I can sit at home using my blackberry n watching my 8 foot wide plasma 3d bluray sky TV?

when I get off tag they have promised me I can have a new multiseater car on disability because my wife has got this ingrowing toenail so cant walk the 100 yards to the shop for anything heavier than me fags!

I dont watch Jeremy Kyle on TV, I'm always there i got mor lie dectetor results and DNA results than I have qualifications!

so get off my back and go and earn your money to pay your taxes!!!

(this is tongue in cheek and not aimed at anyone or meant to insult anyone!)

The ipad beats my off road experience I won from land rover!!

bored one Saturday in May I took a test drive in a new Disco 4 few weeks later had a phone call saying that I had won this 1/2 day off road for me & 2 mates in Honiton. I took my lovely lady and made a weekend of it. best part of it was that she didnt want to drive so I had all the time in the seat rather than having to share it!! checked after and it would have cost us £110 each !!
