Saw ohlins rear shock on ebay for "buy now £450" made offer of £400 accepted! Fully adjustable race spec, think I saved few quid, although it may cost me £80 to have reconditioned.

Just wondering if it makes any difference to fitting ohlins if I have abs?

Is it worth having ohlins fitted to my FZ1 Fazer abs for normal road riding. Went to Kais at Atherton for suspension set up, and they suggested having full ohlins fitted. Is it worth the cost, has anyone had this done? Thanks for any advice.

Went up to Yorkshire to get my Altberg Clubman Roadsters 8 years ago.
Fantastic quality product, will probably last another 8 years easily!

Tony did mine on gen 2  fazer when I bought it two years ago.
He does a great job of recovering, and colour coded rider and pillion piping to
match engine covers and hugger (gold).
Can't say it's a comfortable ride, as after about 80-100 miles you need a break.
I think the original seat was rubbish to start with, and apart from the Airhawk types
which makes you much higher, and not good for shorter riders, I think you have to
just put up with the pain!
As for Tony Archer, he's just your typical one man band, they're all the same, not really
keen business people, you just have to go along with them!

Forgot to say, I had exactly the same experience as you and many others on various forums.
Put your hand under your chin when riding and squeeze, the wind noise suddenly disappears!

I contacted John-Paul Rowland who is customer service person for Shark in UK.
He always replies to any emails and always helpful.
You can email him on johnpaul@nevis.uk.com
Good Luck.

Purchased Shark Vision R at NEC show last year from Bikerswear for good price £170.
After using for several rides, seemed to have much more wind noise than previous Shoei
Multitec.
Contacted John-Paul at Shark customer service 2 weeks ago to complain, and he suggested
I return helmet to Bikerswear Birmingham from where Shark would collect.
Anyway, got helmet back yesterday with notes attached saying no manufacture fault,
but they had replaced cheek pads, new chin curtain and complete new hermetic neck pad from Vision R
GT carbon.
Also they had checked all vents and visor seal.
Went out yesterday in gale force wind for an hour, and can't believe how quiet and comfortable helmet is now!
I know helmet should have been quieter when bought, but when manufacturer goes to a bit of trouble
it's good  to receive such good customer service.

I have black lab, now nearly 4 years old. I used to train german shepherds for security,
so needed to make them bark to make people aware of dog.
The method I used with lab was same as I used before, try to get dog excited, (sounds kinky)
keep saying "speak" and if dog barks you really praise or give treat.
It's just a matter of patience, doing the same thing over and over until dog automatically
barks when you say "speak".
Got to admit though, it is harder with a lab as they are not naturally barky dogs.

Have had two Gen 2s, one was 2008, which I changed for 2009 model with ABS. Have since done 12K miles without problems apart from seat, which I agree is murderous after a couple of hours-have gel pad fitted, but still not too good!
Previous to those two bikes I had Fazer FZS 600 for 6 years, and sometimes wonder if  the FZ1 is that much better!
By the way, I think Bigbluebears bike looked good, and also block paving was very impressive job!
