I know, I was only kidding, did you not notice the emotion icons, but what better to enjoy something new and learn if he has somebody to travel with him I took a friend to Coleraine from Cork on my Fazer. He was buying his second bike and we rode back, took us a few hours longer but was a great learning curve for him. He was sore, tired and grinning from ear to ear when we got home.

More information vital to try and resolve the issue. Fazers do not have problems just issues

One of the best and easiest modification to any Fazer. I have one in since 1000 miles and bike now with 79000. I have cleaned it 3 times and due another clean now. Nice to see you bought one of the fast ones

Whatever your happiest with, I know many who use that technique. I prefer to use all the gears and drop them going into the bends as I need them even when caning it. Each to his own. Learning to read the road and using the vanishing point is the probably the most difficult thing to learn but worth it weight in gold when riding fast. Glad to see your enjoying yourself, take care.

Your solution is a viable one because our local Bike Guru has come across it more than once. the funniest he had was a fellow come into to his garage complaining about the new cable he fitted had Focced up his clutch. He was adamant that you should not have to adjust the cable because it was a new one he had fitted. When I called to his garage for lunch with him he was still laughing, because he actually had a job convincing him.

Hi there I'm on the lookout for one of these I have £1500 but need to get it to Scotland Can you send me some piccys and info to fraser_richardson7@hotmail.com Or text on 07769727915 Cheers Fraser
What "need to get it to Scotland" Why not get the train or fly down and ride it back. It is a Fazer which is more than capable of doing that short journey

If the 600 owners turn up especially with red ones just ask them nicely to slow down and wait for you. Most of them will happily oblige

I have seen alarms wired like that What exactly was that person trying to do besides ruining a perfectly good wiring system? to true some people should never be allowed near any type of tools. There is a triple you do not see to often in that condition. Good luck with the new Fazer

Polished the 600 after washing it yesterday Watched the world Superbike and world Supersport. Went for a short spin of around 100 miles. Forgot my camera so had to make do with the mobile phone camera Now back to watch the Moto2 and MotoGP

As standard they are a bit lazy dropping into the bends and inclined to understeer. Stanchions 10 mm up through the yolks as Andy FZS says and a 10mm rise at the rear gives it the flickability of the Fazer 600. Upgrade the fork springs as the standard ones are far to soft, even when they are wound in full. Progressive fork spring and the 2012-2013 S1000RR rear shock (gave the 10mm rise at the rear) fitted has totally transformed my bike.

If you do need a new cable buy an original Yamaha one.
expensive, but worth it

To get the last bit out you just have to keep shaking and jiggling it about until it all (or nearly all) finds the exit.
Only option, pain in the arse, but it works

Looks like the pipe to the Air Filter housing for directing the crankcase fumes into the air box.

Most likely carb icing. There was a problem with the heater pipes being blocked on some of the Foxeye models, Apparently during the build process some crap was lodged in the elbows of the heater pipes. Remove the heater hoses see if you can blow through from one side to the other, if not and insert a small screwdriver or something into the carburettor pipes (the ones I cleared were both on the left side) and dislodge the dirt, then blow it out.

Yes, on the back right hand side of the engine there is a guide for the two hoses

Take the hit dude, best 34 quid you'll spend on it. Savings after 2 or 3 services so think of it as an investment.

The heater circuit connections both point upwards. Those are the overflow hoses and tuck down behind the engine to dump exceed fuel on the road should a needle valve go leaky.

Could be a badly Frayed cable as Darrsi says. This happened to me on my way home from work a couple of years ago and I discovered the cable was frayed at the sprocket cover end and was hanging on with 2 strands. Could also be a dry clutch actuator and yours looks very dry in the picture of the cover inner . Remove the cable and check both ends for fraying. Follow the instruction on my post to Darrsi last year on how to grease up the actuator. you will need to buy a can of spray grease and use wd40 or brake cleaner clean it out first. http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,10124.msg105622.html#msg105622

I found my old one in the garage, it needs pistons and seals. I had stripped it years ago with the intention of replacing the pistons and seals because it was sticking, but a FZS1000 one came up on EBAY and I bought it. This was put in a box and left there. Yours for the price of the postage if you want it. Let me know and I can send it to you on Monday, it will probably cost around a tenner to post.
