As title, looking at going -1 on front or +2 on rear for better low down and mid range acceleration, know it will knock a bit off top end but can live with that, has anyone done +2 on rear and what was effect, other thing is with +2 on back will standard chain be long enough ?

Hi all, Rob from Manchester 63 years young, (head still thinks i am 25, body says otherwise) just got 2002 Fazer 1000, 23k miles, sorted EXUP valve (with a bit of help from guys on here), previous bikes include Bandit 600 (just sold) XJR 1300 x 2, Honda CBR1000F, TDM 900, Hayabusa & many more over the years, very impressed with bike so far goes like a stabbed rat, set all suspension setting to standard, softened rear a bit (only weigh 14 1/2 stone) so goes round corners quite nicely, likely see a few of you when out and about, all the best Rob

o/k just bought a fazer 1000 only to find exup valve seized, read all the guides so much spraying of Plusgas on bolts, my question is if I disconnect the pulley from valve should they then move when ignition is turned on, or is this a no no, when I turn ignition on cables do not move, does this mean cables are seized or serve motor buggered Cheers in advance Rob
