Fork covers
« on: 09 February 2014, 06:18:42 pm »
I've thought about having upside down forks like a few people have started to do for their bikes on here but as I am mainly thinking of it for cosmetic reasons I thought maybe some covers would be a cheaper option. About 2 years ago I saw a streetfightered fazer sell on eBay that had it done and it said it was a custom job, I've attached the pic of the bike, does anyone know who it was or how you would make them? Also what the other bits on the bike are, cos i think it looks awesome.

Hey Panthor im glad you've posted this up coz i thought about fork covers for the noggyfighter & i agree this bike looks good.

But i was looking at more of a fisher price solution ie-painting my forks black & then getting some cheap motocross covers for the uppers.

I cant see any joins on this pic and cant figure out how it bounces without being fouled but you're defo on to something here mate. 8)

If u look at the left fork you can see a bit cut out from the inside, wonder if there a a couple more bits cut out on the inside further up

Oh ye i see now from that second pic.

So where the sticker is at is where the cover finishes but he has matched it well to the fork stanchions & the reason he has the cover ending those 6inches up or whatever is for the travel of the forks.

Ye i like it & im like you i think it just looks better.

There's so many cheap covers on ebay so it's just a case of getting some where the attachment holes are in the right places really, i mean even if it meant some cable ties which is a bit tacky or some giod quality jubilee clips.

These type things but longer, they're so cheap

Im up for trying this out.

Fair play there, I think that looks pretty damn fantastic. Go for it!

Anyone have an idea what headlight's being used there?

Someone send these pics to Yamaha!
That bike looks gorgeous. The flat tank and chunky forks are just what the next FZR released needs!

Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it..
